Poured into an IPA glass. Liquid is a caramel-amber color with lots of bubbles, and produces a thick off-white head that fades quickly but leaves lots of lace.

Strangely enough, raspberries is the main thing I get from the nose on this. I would have believed somebody if they'd told me this was a fruit beer. Other than that, maybe some mangoes and tropical fruits. Smells good, but not necessarily like an IPA.

Taste is super fruity - more citrusy (oranges and pineapples) than the nose. The raspberry note is still there, but not quite as prominent as it is on the nose. There's a bit of a caramel flavor underneath the others as well. There's shockingly little bitterness on the palate or the finish, and raspberries come back on the aftertaste, but they mix with the caramel and come across a bit sickly sweet and just a little "off." Still, it's really amazing how fruity they've been able to make this.

Mouthfeel is moderately thick for the style, with lots of carbonation.

Overall, definitely a strange, but enjoyable IPA. It has flavor notes that I really haven't had in other IPAs, so I'm glad I got to try it. Thanks to leveejr for the can!

Malty, Fruity, Jammy, Bready

Can with a 360 degree top, but we dropped it into a glass to take a look at its bright amber color and creamy lacing. Nose is malty, fruity, and jammy. Incredibly smooth and creamy, medium-bodied, and a bit slick. Firm malty backbone, fruity orange marmalade, and caramel. Quite sweet too. Hops? Hello? Surprisingly low perceived hop bitterness due to the malt dominance. Sure, there’s some hop flavor, but this is a malt bomb.

Draft. Deep Amber color with creamy head. Thick mouthfeel for an IPA, lots of bready malt with just enough hops to back it up. Something odd (funky) on the aftertaste. Still, tasty and easy to drink despite the high ABV.

Pours bronze with slight effervescence & 2+ fingers of pearl white head. Average head retention & lacing

S: Grassy, a little pine, some breadyness

T: Pine, much breadyness, a little grapefruit & some pear up front. Bready sweetness, pine & a little grapefruit as this warms, some dryness too. Finishes with a little grapefruit, some pine, dryness, some pear & breadyness, plus a little herbal hop bitterness

MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, pretty good balance

Very malt forward, a good IPA, not completely in my wheelhouse hop-wise, but well worth a try

Big hop taste, but lacks aroma qualities. Overall, a good example of its style, but defiantly not the best. The brewery is cool, and a good place to catch a cowboys game - indoor and outdoor seating, with a great view of the brewery operation. They have around nine of their brews on tap.

Guessing a bit on looks due to drinking directly from can. Love the smell, Fragrant and floral. Taste is right there with the smell. This is my kind of IPA. The finish is a bit off, but I will be back for more. Hard to believe how high the ABV is on this one.
