12 oz. pint on tap at the brewery July 31, 2021

Overall it was perfect to start a session and whet the whistle rather than diving straight into Yellow Rose. In fact, it smelled and tasted very much like a Yellow Rose Light, and I mean that in all of its grapefruit/biscuit malt glory. A very tasty pale ale I'd happily drink over and over again.

Delicious pale ale with smooth mouthfeel but not too much body like others. Beer didn’t seem to have any caramel taste like most other pale ales. Excellent hops and hop schedule with excellent dry hopping. Color is a bit pale. Bitterness is perfect with plenty of piney fruity hops for plenty of hop burps.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance - The beer is served a super hazy and thick looking yellow color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has as decent level of retention, fading over time to leave a decent sum of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma of the brew is rather strong of a cracker malt aroma mixed with notes of a light tropical fruit of tangerine and pineapple as well as bit of a grapefruit smell. Along with these aromas comes notes of a herbal and pine hop as well as a touch of a yeasty smell.
Taste - The taste begins with a lightly caramel and tangerine sweetened cracker malt flavor with a decent showing of a grapefruit hop upfront. As the taste advances the sweet fades a bit all while the grapefruit takes on more a a bitter rind like flavor. At the same time some other hop flavors of a light herbal and pine nature work their way onto the tongue. With a touch of a grassiness coming at the very end, one is left with a rather crisp and moderately hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel - The body of the brew was slightly thicker and chewier with a carbonation level that was rather low. Overall the feel was decent for the mix of hop, cracker, and light fruit and made for an easy sipper.
Overall - A decent drinker overall. Flavorful and moderately hopped, without being overwhelming. Nothing out of the ordinary, but good none the less.

Had it from draft at the brewery. Bright cloudy yellow color with a very nice head and lacing. Pleasant lemon smell and taste. Herbal and slightly piney flavors. Went great with peanuts!

Poured from tap into shaker, minimal head and retention, nice lacing. Amberish hazy golden in the glass. Not much on the nose. Taste of slightly burned caramel and pine initially, some citrus comes thru in the middle and finishes with a slight sweet finish. Man i am loving that caramel that I am getting out if this beer. Great mouthfeel.

I think I had this on tap at D&T when it was first released, and then I really did not see it anywhere. Until I got a growler from Premium Draught this weekend.

A: At first, pours a slightly hazed copper color. The haze eventually clears up as this warms. A two finger egg white head forms with good retention and plenty of spiderweb looking lace.
S: Big hops up front. Resiny like pine, even slightly soapy hops. Citrus and grapefruit. All intermingled with the burnt sugars, and caramel malts.
T: Like the nose, the hops and malts all intermingle. Slightly soapy, with plenty of resiny pine flavors. Citrus and grapefruit. Caramelized, almost burnt sugars. Enjoyable, if just slightly off for me, for some reason.
M/D: A more viscous body than I would like for a pale ale/IPA. Moderate carbonation witch is fairly smooth. Really enjoyable to drink. The growler will be gone in no time.

I can't put my finger on what does not make this exceptional? Maybe the mix of slightly soapy hops and caramelized sugars. Still very good non the less. Something I do enjoy and will continue to drink when I see it.

Had this op tap a couple times now at Nobi and Boondoggles and decided to add it to BA. Pours a copper color with minimal head and little lacing as the glass goes down. Smells dank and delish, more of an IPA. I really enjoyed the taste on this one, grapefruit and brown sugar, my most favorite characteristics of an IPA. Overall I'd consider this more of an IPA but it was listed as an APA so that's what I will rank it as. I will definitely be back for more as I see this on tap around town. Great job Lone Pint on another good beer, keep it up and start botteling soon!
