Zeno's Pale Ale is an homage to one of our favorite public houses, by which craft beer was explored eons ago. Quaffable, citrusy Pale Ales are wonderful things that forever changed the beer world. Thanks Dave.

A crisp and citrusy pale ale, with excellent balance and drinkability, Zeno's joins yellow rose and Jabberwocky as another fabulous offering from lone pint. I'm starting to think everything is coming up fabulous from these guys for a reason.

Very pale gold color, and very hazy, more what you'd expect from a wheat beer. Moderate head. Nose is sweet with tropical fruit hop notes. Fairly high bitterness up front with a hop flavor that now seems more citrus than tropical. Bitterness is quite high, and lingers through the beer. Dry finish. Medium body, fairly soft. Decent pale ale, if you appreciate a lot of hops.

Pale yellow body with some chill haze; even past that, it's translucent, not perfectly clear, with what appears to be a slight amount of sediment out of suspension. Excellent head production and lacing; good retention.
Citrus and pine resin on the nose; very much a throwback aroma. A bit of crackery pale malt.
Flavor follows, with mild to moderate citrus notes, mild dankness, a decent amount of resin, and a crackery pale malt base. Touches of black pepper, wheat, grass.
Lively and drinkable. Definitely a solid homage to Dale's, and a very enjoyable brew.

Hazy, peach yellow body; incredibly dense and thick head, white, rocky, creamy. zesty, bitter aroma; grapefruit; a bit of tangerine and pineapple. Decent flavor; a bit muted; grapefruit and indistinct citrus elements; moderate to heavy bitterness. Heavy body; mild to moderate acidity; a bit rough on the palate; juicy initially, finishes with a subtle dryness.
This gifted beer is pretty good overall. I'm thinking the age may have dulled some the flavor edges, but it still comes across with fine visuals and decent taste.
Pouring temperature: 44 °F; canning info: 06/12/22

Fairly cloudy medium gold body with a nice fluffy white head. Aromas of citrus, pineapple and a bit of pine. Taste follows the nose, with a bit of nice lingering hop bitterness. Medium mouthfeel with above average carbonation. I really like this pale ale...its like Yellow Rose's little sister.... lighter in body with a spritzier mouthfeel. I hope Lone Pint makes this a year round beer!

12oz canned 6-13-22, opened 7-16-22.
2 finger white head with great retention - pillowy, rocky, and dense. Gold-orange and opaque body. Thick, patchy lacing. Pineapple, orange juice aroma. Juicy and simple, good flavor. Full body, soft mouthfeel with a mild but prickly bitterness.
Good drinkability. Very Good.
4th can has a little bit of a buttery note in the background - taking Taste down to 3.5.

Full on hazy pale ale. Aroma is fairly muted, but is pleasantly sweet and malty. Some pine and pineapple hop character.
Flavor is bracingly bitter, and relatively mild. Moderate malt character, and hops are mostly piney on the palate. Some citrus as well.
Generally good, and easy to drink.

Canned 5/17/23. Drank 6/4/22
Pour is a murky pale yellow. Bug chalk white head persists.
Nose is resinous hops, juicy fruit, citrus, pineapple. Mango
Taste is pineapple, some pine. Juicy. Moderate bitterness with a biscuit, bready malt backbone. Easy to drink. Not overly sweet; appropriately bitter.

Pours a juicy, hazy golden straw color with hints of orange. A frothy, finger thick head sits atop that eventually dissipates to a thin lacing. Lots of lacing on the glass as you drink. Carbonation is difficult to see. Looks quite inviting!
Wow, quite a potent aroma just like the Yellow Rose IPA. Super fresh pineapple, citrus and mango, but also picking up some piney notes in there. The sweet breadiness is also lurking in the background. It smells very, very good.
I agree with some other reviewers here, this is basically Yellow Rose Light. The flavor profile is almost exact, but a bit more muted. Orange, lemon, pineapple, mango with sweet, breadiness lingering in the background. As with the Yellow Rose, the malts are always present but also taking a back seat, lending some balance to the brew.
This is medium bodied with zesty carbonation and ample chewiness. I think "juicy" is the best way to describe it. It's decidedly lighter and easier to drink than the Yellow Rose IPA, clocking in at just under 6% ABV.
Overall this is a very tasty pale ale, perhaps one of the tastiest I've tried. I've already reviewed the Yellow Rose IPA, and while this is quite similar I think it's definitely more sessionable. For that reason, I will rate it slightly higher, since I generally tend to prefer lower ABV beers. This is basically the penultimate pale ale, it has tons of aroma and flavor while remaining quite sessionable. I would happily pick this up again. Cheers!

12 oz. pint on tap at the brewery July 31, 2021
Overall it was perfect to start a session and whet the whistle rather than diving straight into Yellow Rose. In fact, it smelled and tasted very much like a Yellow Rose Light, and I mean that in all of its grapefruit/biscuit malt glory. A very tasty pale ale I'd happily drink over and over again.
