There is not too many DIPA's that can put 10%abv into them and still rock the taste and balance. Sixpoint comes to mind and this one does one helluva job. Lots of great citrus aromas and flavors and the alcohol does not overpower...

Poured from a 12 oz. can.Has an orange/beige color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is surprisingly malty, some tropical fruits. Taste is pine, tropical fruits, alcohol is present, some malts, dry and bitter. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

A: Amber brown in color, mostly clear, with a large tan head on top.

S: Cloying malty sweetness with citrus, a touch of tropical fruit, as well as a waft of pine.

T: More bitterness than the aroma would lead you to believe. Pine, grapefruit, citrus, and tropical fruit dominate. There are some caramel malts in the background giving the brew a burnt brown sugar sweet finish with some booze in it.

M: Medium thick in mouthfeel, carbonation is a bit on the intense side.

O: Overall decent, but could use a little more polish to become great.

A very well balanced taste with floral citrus and piney hops that do not obliterate a basic malt sweetness. Not generally a fan of double IPAs this is one I could drink more than one of.

Look is light auburn or burnt orange, thin head. Smells of caramel and hop resin, it's muted but hints of pine, very underwhelming. Taste is boozy, sweet stickiness. I'm not impressed

Canned 11-5. 4 pack purchased from Midtowne Bottleshop for $10.50.

This is a high octane DIPA with significant pine and a resiny sweetness, i n the same realm as Hopslam and Maharaja. I think it's slightly more drinkable than other 10% DIPA's - finishing a little drier and with less caramel malt flavoring. I prefer Champion's Fruitbasket and Fruitless DIPAs, but this is a very nice, locally brewed, IPA.

This is a slightly hazy copper colored beer with a white head. The smell is pleasant with citrus and sweet malts followed by pine. The citrus scent is mainly orange with grapefruit notes. The taste is malty sweet with pithy citrus flavors. The sweetness yields to a nice bitterness that builds a bit after the swallow. Quite nice and hoppy DIPA.

growler filled from the brewery.

a- about as good as it gets for a dipa. Gorgeous dark copper. Plenty of head - about 2 inches in a snifter glass.
s- growler smells incredible, glass aromatics hits me with citrus. Orange, Lemon, Pine tree, cyprus trees, bread, flowers.
t- malts up font, as expected a ton of hops in the front, middle, and end. Getting malts there too. Surprising me with balance.
m- Bubbly and acidic, some alcohol burn but that's expected.
o- This is a dang good DIPA. Best brew Champion has to offer IMHO.
