This traditional seasonal lager has a malty, toasty character with a mild hop bitterness in the finish. Amber in color, medium-bodied and very smooth from a long lagering process.

Sampled at the Newark Ca location on 10/11/2010. The marzen pours a medium orange gold color. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, fruity and sweet with a bunch of ice tea. A medium bodied October fest beer. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal. Decent carbonation. A little on the sweet side and the bready malts seem a little subdued. A touch of orange at the finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Pours, looks, feels like a Oktoberfest marzen. A bit less sweet than some, but a solid effort.

Had on tap at their Westminster CO location, I think it's brewed here?
On arrival a 1.5 finger fine white head was present that slowly recedes with pretty dang good retention that sits at a thick covering. Body is a brown amber with active fine carbonation.
Aroma is pretty neutral with a light, sweet roasted malt. Very clean but has some light fermentation notes that compliment the malt. Pretty light smell
Taste is a bit bigger and has a bit of an American twist going on here with some bigger bitter hops in the mix. The hips are just bittering, and they lead into a nice caramel malt with a hint of dry fig on the very end. A nice end to a night here.
Feel is drinkable and lighter than everything else would suggest. A medium finish but a relatively neutral mouthfeel that's just a bit heavier than water. The carbonation is fine but has a bit of bite and overall it's quite drinkable.
Overall this is a decent tale on oktoberfest marzen beer with a big bitter bite. Clean and drinkable with caramel malts and a bit of figgy sweetness. Pretty good.

This is an incredibly crisp beer with a fantastic taste and flavors. It is not overpowering and it is extremely drinkable. It is a little filling but it is so refreshing you forget about it.

On tap at a location somewhere in Maryland that BA doesn't seem to think exists...
Pours a dark copper, filtered and medium bodied.
Smells malty, medium strength. Toffee and bread, rounded and sweet. A good marzen aroma, but perhaps a bit too timid.
Tastes like it smells: a boilerplate marzen, perhaps a little weak, but no off nodes whatsoever. Frankly, I'd take this over one that was cereal-heavy.
