Nutty Brewnette is an American-style brown ale. A blend of four different dark malts contributes to a flavor profile that is sweet with “nutty” notes. A healthy dose of hops makes this beer hoppier and more balanced than most English brown ales.

Tasted on tap at the Albuquerque location.
Color is deep red verging on mahogany. Persistent, creamy tan head. Aromas of break and light roasted notes with only a hint of earthy hops. Flavors dominated by lightly roasted malt. Low flavors of Indistinct hops; clean fermentation with very low fruity yeast. Medium body with low carbonation. Hops bitterness is low. No alcohol presence. Overall an ok brown ale but I expected more hops presence in an "American-style Brown Ale".

16 ounce draft poured into a shaker style pint glass.
L: Dark brown, looks a bit cloudy in the glass but could be the lighting, small khaki head, could be the server but swirling the glass doesn’t raise much foam.
S: Subtle nose, nutty malt and some fruity esters.
T: Malt forward, nutty, mild fruity ale yeast flavor with hints of roasted malt at finish, woody and earthy hops, low bitterness
M: Soft feel with some minor astringency, medium weight, medium-high carbonation.
O: OK, easy drinking, solid perhaps but not a standout.

Had on tap at the Westminster CO location
As I watched the pour the head was enormous but the bartender remedied that and the beer arrived with a 1 finger khaki head that only lost a CM over the good while I didn't touch it. Body is a solid brown with reddish hues that is otherwise clear. Some lacing forms.
Aroma is light like a lot of BJs beers it seems. A strong note of English ale yeast is present, with a very sweet figgy note and some chocolate and toffee.
Taste follows the aroma with a bit less of the fig and a bit more dark chocolate and some almond toffee. There is a pretty decent hit of bitterness and it seems to be bittering hops along with roasted malts. Pretty simple other than the main ingredients of beer.
Feel is creamy and smooth with a present but velvety layer of carbonation. This isn't a nitro beer but the malts do a nice job here. Once you swallow the beer has a dry medium quick finish making this quite drinkable.
Overall this is on style and mostly delivering what it promises but it is a bit more chocolatey than nutty but overall it's decent.

Pours dark malty brown with fluffy khaki foam. Notes of sweat malty bread. Light and smooth on the palate. Good brown ale.

Yet another BJ's beer that I think I've reviewed, but isn't here. Lots of duplicate multiple location listings I guess. Anyways, a brown ale, looks heartier and more substantial than the popular ones (Newcastle/Dundee), lighter brown to cream colored head, 1/2". Usual brown malt Americana kind of aroma, nutty and earthy.
Taste is the same affair, I can appreciate that it upped the quantity of malt compared to less desireable brown ales on the market. Truly does impart the nuttiness, name checks out. At 35 ibu seems like they even upped the amount of (Cascade?) hops and this one is definitely an American brown opposed to an English in that regard (and the aforementioned maltiness). If you're a brown ale type, I think this is totally worthy. There is nothing wrong with it.

This is kind of like a light beer version of a brown ale. Sweet undertones get into the notes of the beer, this is definitely nutty but also not too overpowering on the palate. This one keeps fairly light and well balanced.
