Had today at Fate South as my dessert beer.

Beer was served in a snifter and was black with a nice tan head.

Nose was nut forward with a good dose of vanilla.

Taste was vanilla, nuts, and hints of cocoa over a light roasted black malt.

Feel was light to medium bodied and pretty smooth.

Overall this is a nice dessert beer which one in a session is plenty as i could see this getting too sweet. Glad i had the opportunity to try!

Liquid Snickers bar, with a body that belies its single stout strength. Never cloying, though, just loads of chocolate/peanut flavor combos and a nose that's similarly dialed in. Sure, it's a novelty, but it's incredibly well executed.

"Candy Bar Milk Stout" roasted with peanuts, cocoa nibs, Vanilla and milk.

A: Black, soft head. Filled with 1 finger settled to top of the glass.

S: Vanilla and Coffee together, tons of roasted peanut smell. Chocolate following but overall the peanuts took the lead.

T: Wow! Roasted peanuts came through with a nice chocolate finish. Hints of vanilla and coffee with a mild sweetness. No bitterness that some stouts have. Just incredible. Had one before and after Fate's Imperial IPA and when I had it after the IPA, it almost tasted like a snickers but no where near as sweet.

M: Really Smooth and easy drinking.

O: One of the best if not the best stout I have ever had. If they bottled this, I would have it day and night and give up everything else as long as I could have their Imperial IPA as well.

Serving type: Nitro Tap, first day they tapped the batch.

32 oz. growler poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Flat brown body. No head.

Smell - Nutty. Some peanut butter aroma. Chocolate. Muted all around

Taste - Nutty. Lots of caramel. A little chocolate. Slight tang in the finish and a little burnt.

Mouthfeel - Watery. Flat. The fault of the growler, probably, but it is what it is.

Overall - I get the idea, but the execution is missing.

Milk stout brewed with cocoa nibs, vanilla bean, sea salt and honey roasted peanuts. Aroma is salty peanuts, milk chocolate and nougat. Taste is sweet with a little roasty bitterness and loads of candy bar flavor. There is a debate whether it tastes most like a baby ruth, payday or snickers.
