12 oz can from Bert's
Pours a cloudy lemon straw color with a decent sized bubbly bone white head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of spicy earthy bready malts with a touch of lemon and spice. Sweet bready maltiness with a solid spicing from actual spices as well as the wheat malt, some light citric fruit and some earthy almost funky yeastiness. Medium to light body with a moderate to high level of carbonation. Decent enough brew, light a flavorful. Not my go to style, but I could see this on a warm day.

Had on tap. Pours clear, light gold in color with minimal head. Taste is wheat, clove, light banana and lemon. Light bodied, clean, and slightly sweet. Nice and clean average to slightly above average wheat beer. Could have again or pass.

From the can. It is stamped 29J14 - First Run. Sampled on March 21, 2015.

It pours a highly carbonated straw yellow. The foamy head dies down after a bit.

The aroma is what a wheat ale should be with lots of wheat, toasted biscuit, and this nice lemon zest punch. A bit of grassy hops too,

Lighter body but creamy.

It tasted pretty good actually considering the style. The orange peel or lemon zest is far more noticeable in the flavor. Clean and crisp.

I found this beer refreshing with just the right hoppiness. Feels clean on the tongue. Quite a bit of carbonation. I enjoyed this brew straight from the can, so I'm not sure how it pours or the color of it. I'm sure, however, it's a beautiful gold. Nice citrusy smell.

Poured into a becher pint glass, I thought this was a true Americanized wheat ale and still might be, but the rest of my observations may lead me to think otherwise. The appearance was a cloudy ruddy burnt orange pale color with a finger and a half’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated as expected, nice and slow. Messy clingy lace. The aroma smelled pretty much spot on like a German hefeweizen, well, how about that - the full rich banana esters, clove spice, sweet wheat and a touch of bubblegum. The flavor, once again, smells exactly like a German hefeweizen, all of those sweet to spicy features and then same sort of aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a serviceable sessionability about it. Low carbonation and a spot on ABV. Overall, is this a trick by 603? Because I thought this was an American wheat ale. I’d have this again for me, but non-German hefe fans beware of the vague use of "wheat ale" in this one.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a murky brownish-orange color with a one finger head of off white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a light level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a wheat bread smell mixed with a bit of harvest fruit aromas and some lemon. Along with these smells comes some light herbal and grassy aromas as well.
Taste – The taste begins with a wheat bread and sorta crackery taste that has a good showing of sweetness. The sweetness is mainly of an apple and peach flavor with these flavors getting slightly stronger as the taste advances. All the while the wheat seems to dwindle a bit as some lightly soured lemon tastes come to the tongue. With a touch of a candied sugar taste that develops at the end, one is left with a sweet but sorta crisp wheat taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is average in terms of its thickness and chewiness as well as its carbonation. For the mix of lighter wheat, fruit and hints of sour the feel is good and makes this a very easy drinker.
Overall – An alright wheat, but a little bit too strong on the sweet side for me.
