I wanted to like this beer cause of where it is brewed. But I didn't bitter and weak flavor. It was like a bad batch that was canned anyway.

States to be an IPA. Not a traditional American IPA for sure. No real hop signature. Tastes of weak tea. Shame really. Appearance was promising. Nice copper color with a head that sustains while drinking. Mouthfeel is a bit murky, smooth enough but not enjoyable.

Pale yellow. Smells like stale beer. Tastes ok but too much like a Bud for my liking. Blah...

Really wanted to like this, especially living in New Hampshire.

Dead hops, thin feel, despite a great color. Pour was flat and aroma lacking.

Hoping other offerings from this brewery deliver.

L - A vigorous pour into a pint glass left a white, frothy two finger head. Crystal clear, light amber body with lots of bubbles.

A - A hint of malt and some fruitiness I associate with Belgian ales.

T - Understated floral hop flavors and some spiciness from the rye.

M - Light-to-medium body. Somewhat effervescent.

O - A well balanced, enjoyable rye ale.

From the 650 ml bottle dated 8/24/13. Sampled on May 31, 2014. I can buy this fresher than that but I picked it up off a clearance rack.

The pour is a murky looking copper color with a modest off-white head that leaves lacing along the way.

The aroma is less grainy and more malty but that could well be due to the age of this bottle. Yeasty even. Sweet caramel malts.

The body is actually rather nice in the medium range.

The taste is sweet and malty rather that rye-like and grainy. Again, the bottle is 10 months old and this is a style hat should be consumed fresh. It had some nice elements to it but next time I will try a fresher bottle.
