Bottled 11/7/13.
In a pint glass the beer was a dark amber color. There was a smallish light tan head that left a smattering of lace.

Aroma was faint. Citrus, pine, and caramel.

Ditto on the taste. Faint grapefruit and pine, caramel malt.

This just didn't have that nice hoppiness to it that I expected. Definitely on the timid side.

Don't think I'll have this again.

From the 650 ml. bomber bottled on 10/27/14. Sampled on November 2, 2014. Less than a week old freshness.

Medium amber slight cloudy pour. Big foamy off-white head.

Toasted malts a a nice grassy and grapefruit hop profile playing up in the aroma with a hint of spice or pepper.

Medium to better than medium body.

Easy drinking. Vague caramel malt starter with an abundance of grassy hops and pepper kicking in at the finish. Not sure why this is only getting an "OK" rating. Maybe mine was better because it is only 5 days old.

Moderate head and moderate lace (spots and a single ring). The liquid is dark amber and very cloudy.

Good caramel aroma with a nice balancing, straight-up hop nose. Very much like an amber ale.

The flavor goes through many phases. First, it starts like an amber ale with lots of caramel. This transforms into a drier version with a bit of bitterness. The bitters increase in the swallow, but the aftertaste is a nice blend of the two.

22oz bottled on 9/15/14, each hand dated. Label is a bit cheap looking, but hey, I give any NH beer, especially one with a picture of my home state on it, a good festive try.

A: The beer is a beautiful fall foliage color, auburn red/orange, very attractive. It has a nice full head that lingers on and on.

S: The smell is earthy and hoppy with a strong citrus background.

T: The flavor is strong hops with grapefruit, pine, and hard candy.

M: Very crisp & smooth, medium carbonation, medium body, slightly sticky finish.

D: Tasty and goes down way too easy, a good beer to stick with for the whole bottle. Having never heard of this brewery (must be new) I am definitely impressed and would buy again. It has the "easy drinking, great taste" bravado of other far more well known favorites.

Bottle from Bert's
Pours a murky deep golden color with a smallish off white head that quickly dissipates to a ring and leaves some spotty lace on the way down. Heavy bready caramel malt aroma offset with spicy, floral, citrusy hop aroma. Light plastic phenols in the aroma as well. The taste follows the aroma. Sweet caramel malt base with a smattering of hops and a light plastic phenol and hints of astringency. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet almost syrupy mouthfeel. Decent brew, but nothing to write home about. A little sweet and the plastic doesn't help.
