Notes: A wheat ale fermented with real red and black raspberries and accented with fresh lemongrass. It has a stunning red color and mouth-watering berry aroma. Fruity and refreshingly dry.

One look at the color and thought I'd be drinking some wine coolers. To my surprise I was completely wrong. 2015 release exceeds the previous . well balanced fruitiness without being sickly sweet. Great for those hot summer days we are all waiting for

Well you can take this beer as seriously as its label. The label, at least, is amusing. What's inside is not. This is a watery, SOUR and bitter mess. Smells of berry and tastes like one part vinegar, one part berry Kool Aid, and one part drain cleaner. And I poured out 3/4s of the bottle down the drain to test it. Maybe I got a bad one, but this stuff was truly god awful.

A big thanks to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a pinkish/purple color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tart raspberries. Taste is tart, slightly sour, raspberry, wheat, refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

Bottle picked up locally and enjoyed from a two roads snifter.

a - brew pours an awesome pink color and a bubbly head that didn't last but never fully dissolved.

s - nose is a touch medicinal but berry in yo face. Ripe and fresh, ocean spray anyone?

t/m - soft raspberry wheat, a bit watered down in flavor and body.

o - refreshing raspberry brew, but missing some oomph.

12 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: This beer poured a one finger pink head that reduced to a thin layer. It is an amber copper color with good clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass.

Smell: Tart and sweet raspberries, bready malts, and a smidgen of lemon grass.

Taste: Nothing crazy. Pretty simple. Like mentioned above, raspberries lead the flavor.

Mouthfeel: Light, crisp, tart, refreshing, low to medium carbonation, and a little chewy.

Overall: Not sure what to think about this beer. Tastes just like what it says on the label. Good after gym beer though.

Had on tap at Prime 16. Was looking like a delicious beer for the warm days. Poured a lovely pink color with effervescent bubbles. Smelled like some sweet fruit, very juicy. Taste was mediocre, a quick blast of sweet and sour raspberry that was too sweet followed by an abrasive grain bill. Was quick and clean, but not desirable.

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 6/13/2018. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy reddish/pinkish orange color with a 1 finger dense light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of juicy/tart/tangy red/black raspberries, lemongrass, fruit skin/seeds, pear, red apple, melon, red grape, mint, pepper, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of raspberries, lemongrass, pale/wheat malts, and fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of juicy/tart/tangy red/black raspberries, lemongrass, fruit skin/seeds, pear, red apple, melon, red grape, mint, pepper, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/grassy bitterness, peppery spice, and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy red/black raspberries, lemongrass, fruit skin/seeds, pear, red apple, melon, red grape, mint, pepper, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, lemongrass, pale/wheat malts, and fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and fruit tang/tartness balance; with no astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/tangy/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a nice fruit beer. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, lemongrass, pale/wheat malts, and fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/tart/tangy/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Certainly not as jammy as I expected, but this was tasty. Very well balanced between authentic raspberries, lemongrass, pale/wheat malts, and fruity American wheat yeast. Not overwhelming on any aspect. A nicely enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
