Named for a secret room in out century-old factory building turned brewery where workers once snuck away for clandestine "breaks." Lil' Heaven is brewed with three American grown hops that result in an intensely flavorful IPA with tropical notes of passion fruit, grapefruit and lychee.

This is a good crushable session IPA. This was gifted to me and what a nice surprise. Good beer when you want IPA flavor without the usual IPA ABV.

I’m not a fan of most IPA’s but this one does it for me. Doesn’t taste like I’m drinking a bottle of perfume and as the can suggests, it’s VERY crushable.

This is a nice little session ale. It checks all the boxes for a lighter style of pale ale. Reminiscent of Founders' All Day IPA, If only they offered it widely in 12 or 15 packs.

Pours a clear copper/gold with a huge white head that eventually gives way leaving nice lacing. Aroma is faint, citrus and pine. Flavor follows the nose, plenty of citrus up front, bitter piney hops in the finish. Feel is light bodied and lacking sufficient carbonation. Overall, the lack of carbonation ruins this beer for me. Best by date 27/Oct/23 tells me lack of carbonation isn't because of age since that's still 3 months away.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a very lightly hazed orange-amber color with a huge head of puffy white foam. The head has a fantastic level of retention, fading slowly over time and leaving tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a orange and tangerine citrus smell mixed with a nice bready and malty backbone aroma. Along with these aromas comes a decent showing of a pine and herbal smell as well as a bit of a floral hop. Mixed with these is a little bit of grapefruit and a touch of tropical fruit,
Taste – The taste starts out with a grainy and bready malt flavor paired with some herbal and pine hops. There is a little bit of fruit sweetness of a orange and caramel malt nature, but these flavors are rather light overall. As the taste advances forward a bit of floral hop joins in, all while the sweet and bready flavors dwindle a tad. A light hay and grapefruit flavor develop more toward the end, and with a surge of the grainy malt and a resurgence of the bready tastes, one is left with a somewhat more malty (for a 4.8 % brew) and more dankly hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium to slightly thicker for the lower abv of the brew with a carbonation level that is higher. For the tastes and the style, the feel is rather nice and makes for an easy and flavorful sipper.
Overall – A rather nice easy drinking brew with a nice flavor. A quite nice session brew.

Overall one of my favorite session New England IPA's. Good color, good mouthfeel,
a little bitter aftertaste but not too bad. What I like most is that the hops don't dominate and so it's much smoother. I would love it if BA had a separate category for session beers! This is definitely one of my top 10 session beers for something refreshing but not too big or heavy. My rating is based on this as a session beer not overall as an IPA where it would rate much lower.

Nothing special. A little too sour for me with a grapefruit flavor. Had much better from Two Roads

Look...Brown copper with a little bit of haze. a good amount of carbonation with an off white head.
Smell...The usual hop citrus smell but with some pungency.
Taste...At 5.7 percent ABV this seems to give a good amount of grapefruit pith and an almost pomegranate sweet to bitter transition. A session for sure but a good bite that is somewhat representative of a pilsner but lacks the smooth lager finish.
Feel... A thin juice and little lacing. A good rep of the style.
Overall...This is so close to what I expect of session IPAs. It is solid for the summer months for me for sure.
