Taste is lemon, chardonnay, hay, Belgian spice, and sour mix. Was surprised with the sourness of the beer but it works well. This may be one of my favorite bigger bottle releases from Two Roads. I will look to pick this up again.

Had in the 750mL bottle courtesy of Amity Wine & Spirits. I've had the Worker's Comp and really enjoy it, so let's see what Phil can do with his Belgian legacy. It's nice light colored beer with a big head. Sweet aroma of thick belgian yeast and light malts. Some floral aroma going on there. The flavor is really great. Light malts with some grape flavors and a ton of belgian spice and funk. It's truly a deluxe Worker's Comp. A bit too bubbly but overall a great beer.

L: slightly cloudy, pale straw, light gold
S: some citrus, slightly grainy, some spice
T: subtle citrus, belgiany, some sweetness
F: light-medium body, icely carbonated, effervescent
O: A wonderful saison offering. Subtle flavors are complemented well by a distinct dryness on the finish. A well executed saison IMO.

Two Roads Brewing Company "Worker's Stomp"
500 ML brown glass bottle, "PKG19JUN17 19:35"
$10.99 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ

Notes via stream of consciousness: It pours a hazy yellow-gold body with a touch of an orange sheen beneath a massive head of foamy bright white. The aroma is limited but suggests sweetish malt and some delicate fruitiness. The flavor however, does deliver the promised white wine barrels in some nice white grape fruitiness. I'm not particularly finding the oak until I hit some of its dryness in the finish, and even that's not that much. Some yeasty spiciness passes before that. The head retention is incredible, I still have a half inch of so of thick creamy cap, and that's interesting because it's really not that carbonated. It's very soft and smooth with just a light caress. I'd call it medium bodied. The lacing is very nice as well. Overall it's not nearly as complex as I thought it might be, but it's perfectly balanced and rounded, and incredibly drinkable.

Fantastic blend of slight barnyard funk, sharp white wine notes, Belgian yeast, straw and hay, and pale grains. While no flavor by itself truly stands out as remarkable, the blend definitely borders on excellent.

This was a very surprising brew by Two Roads who, in my opinion, generally make inoffensive but unimpressive beers. This brew is a standout.

Pours a hazy golden honey color with a slight pinkish hue. Small tight white head that settled into a ring.

The aroma is of clove and light oak. Some grape fruitiness and wine mustiness.

The taste is of tart white wine and oak. Not overbearing. The yeast has clove and hay notes.

The feel is light with airy carbonation. Light sweet and tart and very refreshing.

A nice saison. Perfect wine notes from the barrel.

L: Murky straw-yellow. Effervescent. Not much sediment from the bottle.

S: Light citrus, Brett, citrus rind, lemon drops.

T: Muted citrus, champagne, dry white wine, grape must.

F: Tingly microbubbles. Well-carbonated. Light body.

O: A big step up, and very different, from their Worker's Comp saison.

A: The beer is clear golden yellow in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that died down and consistently left a short head covering the surface.
S: Light aromas of lemony hops and peppery spices are present in the nose along with some hints of yeast.
T: The taste generally follows the smell, with additional notes of white wine from the barrel aging, the latter of which lingers through the finish.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this saison to be enjoyable and interesting, especially from the white wine barrel flavors imparted from the barrel aging.

On-tap 4/18/2015 at Doherty’s Ale House, in Warwick, RI served in a snifter glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a short white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains citrus, wheat, spices, Belgian yeast, light caramelized malts and a touch of hops.

T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of Belgian yeast, wheat and a hearty but not too heavy malt character. Then some mildly sweet flavors of citrus, honey, spice and caramel come in. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, it’s a good beer to drink for a while but I did not find much difference from the original version.
