Had a bottle of this at Moeder Lambic, poured in a De La Senne glass, appearance is opaque yellow with a white head leaving nice lacing. This was labeled as De La Senne on the bottle.

Smell is soft, fruity Saison esters, a little funk.

Taste is also fruity but with a drying bretty bite. Its actually a bit to astringent, almost soapy, for my taste.

Mouthfeel is dry and light, almost a little watery.

Drinakability wasn't to high for me, primarilyb due to the soap / talcam powder-like flavor.

Despite being a collab, I think both breweries could actually accentuate each other for a change. Let's see if it worked.

Pours a large fizzy foamy almost 2 finger head that fades pretty quickly, some spotty lacing, mostly clear slight hazy lemony yellow color

Nose brings nice farmhouse saison aromas, a bit of earthy farmhouse funk, lots of gristy grainy wheat and toasted grains, a bit doughty, biscuity cracker, plenty of esters, a bit of pear, lemony, mild spices and phenols, pretty solid.

Taste brings more of the same, solid farmhouse saison grisette like beer, lots of toasted grains, biscuity cracker, toasted wheat, little toasted crusty French bread, milled corn wheat flour, into spices again, saison spices with some phenol characters, fruity esters, touch of pear and apple, maybe some banana too, white raisin, hint lemony too, some spicy grassy hops with a fair bitterness, nice farmhouse like saison characters. Finishes pretty dry, lingering mild grassy hop bitterness and saison farmhouse spices.

Mouth is med bod, a bit soft with loads of effervescent carbonation, borderline too much but classic for the style i think.

Overall a really well done saison, farmhouse was nicely done, great esters and phenols, great malts, good hop kick on the back end, very enjoyable.

Poured from a bottle.

Look is a hazy orange gold with a frothy chunky head.
Smell is grainy and yeasty, a mild spice and herbal hop presence.
Taste is nice, grain and wheat and lightly toasted bread, and mild farmhouse yeast. A slight funk but the yeast is flavorful and well blended. Some herbal spicy hops too.
Feel is soft and round body, with a nice balance.

Overall, a solid, interesting beer. I'm glad to see so many cool collaborations from Two Roads!

a collaboration with de la senne, who, if you are not hip to and you like belgian beer, get busy! one of my favorite operations anywhere in the world, no doubt about it. this gives instant street cred to two roads in my opinion. a really vibrant, herbal, and estery saison, funky and rustic, but also really fragrant and floral and identifiable. apparently brewed as an imperial grisette, nothing turns me on more, and apparently also with yeasts from both breweries, the saison strain contributing notes of polleny flowers in spring, green ripe pears, and underripe banana, while the wild aspect is really great as well, elderflower softness, bretty fruitiness of melon and papaya, and a sort of perfume aspect that hits lemongrass and strawberry notes, its insanely complex, totally yeast driven despite the fluffy dry earthy rustic grain profile. effervescent carbonation and a white wine note finish this with all the regal vibrance of champagne. dry and funky, bright and living, this is really expert stuff, a neat mix of what both breweries are capable of at their best. more spring than winter, but i would drink this anytime! on draft at finns manor.
