A traditional farmhouse ale made with a very expressive yeast strain that contributes an array of tropical fruit, spice flavors and aromatics. Brewed with a variety of harvest grains including barley, wheat, oats and rye as was likely the case with farmhouse brewers of yore. The result is a complex, refreshing and distinctive example of this esoteric style. Intensely fruity (passion fruit, pineapple, mango, lychee), slightly spicy (clove, white pepper).

Decent beer, though I am not a big fan of the style. Nothing super notable about the aroma, just generally malty and a bit spicy. Taste is mostly spice, can detect some clove and maybe some nutmeg and cinnamon. Get the classic banana with a hint of lemon tartness and earthiness. Surprisingly light considering the spiciness. I would say its pretty solid, but nothing really excites me about it.

Served from a 12 oz (355 ml) bottle into a Captain Lawrence, muffin top pint glass; bottled 05/06/20.
A: Pours a hazy to cloudy, lemon yellow color with a one finger, foamy, white head, rim retention, and very limited lacing.
S: Spicy with aromas of lemon, unripened pear, honeysuckle, coriander, and clove.
T: More semidry than semisweet. Flavors follow the nose with the addition of a bit of vegetal earthiness. Light bitterness with clean finish. Very refreshing.
M: Light bodied with solid carbonation.
O: Two roads has produced a dry, flavorful, and very refreshing Saison. Actually, a very good compensation for work.

Look: It pours orange with a white head. Head retention is good.

Smell: There are lemon and spice aromas with a bit of clove. There are some earthen elements with a slight bit of leather.

Taste: It has strong spice flavors with a bit of clove and some lemon. There are some earthly flavors in the background with some doughy elements.

Feel: It has a medium light body with high carbonation and a dry finish.

Overall, lots of flavor and aroma. It is a bit spicier than I am used to.

A great little saison that's regularly available, often my go to at a bar when I'm capping out my night. Light, tart and good malt to round out my evenings.

A solid but not exceptional saison. Pours gold with slight amber hue. Fair amount of head with good lacing and retention. Sweet spice, banana bread and lemon zest nose. Flavor is more spice and yeast than fruit, with some grass and grain notes. Lighter in body. Nice refreshing finish.

LOOK: Poured from a 12 oz. can. 2-3 finger head and quite active. A hazy yellow/orange.
SMELL: Grassy, slight fruit, spices, some funk
TASTE: Nice bready/yeasty funk flavor. Some tart fruit notes - some tropical / some citrus
FEEL: Medium bodied - carbonation died out quicker than hoped - more would have been nice
OVERALL: Enjoyable Saison/Farmhouse Ale. Nicely balanced between sweet malt / grassy-funk / and spiciness. Would purchase again.

12 ounce bottle poured into a tulip glass.

L---Clear, pale gold color. Nice, white head faded quickly, and left good lacing.

S---A little bit of barn funk (not in a bad way). Sweet & fruity (banana/lemon). Also spicy. A lot going on in the nose. Nice work.

T---Sweet with lemon & banana. Barn funk doesn't follow through from the nose. A tinge of spice does follow through. Taste isn't as good as the nose, but is still nice.

F---A bit mouthwatering, from the lemon & touch of sour. Light & well carbonated.

O---A nice effort. I think this would make for a very good summer beer. I'd definitely like to get this one again.
