Style: German Pilsner

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.00%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Traditional in concept with a Two Roads twist…dry hops. We use a combination of classic German as well as American hop and malt varieties in our Pils. We renovated a 100 year-old factory building and designed this Pils to have “extra” aroma…so, pardon the pun! Crisp…refreshing…refined.

Lets face it, one can't drink heavy rich beer all the time. This one is a nice, crisp, snappy pilsner. Nothing outstanding however but a refreshing beer. Easy drinking, good for hot days but too weak to pair with most foods. Probably not worth seeking out if not easily found in your neck of the woods.

Nice hazy golden yellow color with a sudsy off-white head. Some bready malt and lots of fruity hops on the nose.

The hops dominate the taste, but the bready malt is a nice complement. Great lawnmower beer, IMHO.

Has a slightly thin body with about average carbonation.aroma was cereal,citrus,yeast,bread/cracker,mildly floral.flavor is about the same as aroma but is stronger than the aroma suggests. Overall a decent attempt at the style, I would try this again

this was somewhat uninspiring to me, sure its hoppier than a lot of what else is out there in the style, but it seems sort of dumbed down and cheap to me at the same time, looking pretty flat in the shaker pint from the tap, and having an overly grainy aroma, not as delicate and balanced here as i like the style to be, but with a decidedly citrus forward hop aromatic. the flavor is the same, a little more bready and less crackery on the pils malt than i prefer, but still on the dry side. the hops have some finishing bitterness and even a noble sort of spiciness, but i get more of a northwestern citrus profile than anything else. lots of malt there at the end too, more than i generally prefer in a pilsener, and not a lot of flavor from the lager yeast so it seems proportionally a little strange. i also need more carbonation from a light lager like this, this one really sags, and drinkability suffers as a result. overall not a bad beer, a fine pint, but i will be in no rush to drink this one again with so many nice craft pils types around right now. one of the weaker two roads beers i have had, but i will revisit it in bottle or can...

16oz draft pour, pint glass. Pours a clear golden yellow body, clear white head, good carbonation, nice lacing. Smell is clean bread, biscuit, floral, a bit of grass. Clean. Flavour follows; also clean biscuit, touch of herbal lemon, smooth and flavourful throughout. A bit of mineral as well. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied, slightly watery, good body and carbonation, smooth with a slight bitterness on the backend.

This one pours a clear light orange, with a small fizzy head, and a little bit of lacing.

This one smells like bitter grassy hops, and some light bready malt, with some lemon.

This year has a really bitter hop character, but it is not overwhelming. It lingers on the tongue for a while. There’s a light biscuity malt character, with very little sweetness.

This is crisp and very clean, with a nice bite on the finish.

This is a little bit too bitter, but it’s still a nice little beer.

Balanced, unassuming, clean, easy-drinking. Tried on tap, all the buzzwords for an approachable pilsner, nothing earth shattering but a good lawnmower beer

A - Slightly cloudy straw
S - Pine, cracker and grass
T - Boom! Wicked good.
F- Crisp and dry
O - One of the better pilsner's out there. Hoppy like Peak Organic's Super Fresh but not double hopped and has a more mid-day kind of abv. Great post workout beer.
