Style: German Pilsener

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.00%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Traditional in concept with a Two Roads twist…dry hops. We use a combination of classic German as well as American hop and malt varieties in our Pils. We renovated a 100 year-old factory building and designed this Pils to have “extra” aroma…so, pardon the pun! Crisp…refreshing…refined.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with a bottling date of 1/29/2016. Sampled on February 9, 2016.

It pours yellow with bubbly carbonation that leads up to a thin white head. The head becomes a ring.

The aroma smells clean all around and fairly traditional albeit subdued. I get toasted bread, pale malts, and grass.

Light body.

Sweet toasted malts and bread start the tasting experience but the dry-hopped bitterness takes it over at the end.

From a Lazy Dog
Brilliantly clear deep yellow with a huge frothy bubbly white head that persists forever. Grainy light crackery pilsner malt on the nose with bits of citrus spice and earth. The aroma is more macro lager than German Pils. Grainy bready pilsner malt base with a solid hit of spicy earthy hop flavor. Light fruitiness with hints of green apple. Moderate hop bitterness medium body with a moderate to high level of carbonation. I'm missing the bready sweet melanoid laden pilsner maltiness I normally expect and honestly I've had traditional German Pilsner beers with a whole lot more hop character than this beer. Decent quaffable beer though.

12 oz can. Straw gold with slight haze, tall fluffy head with good retention, spotty lace. Light cracker malt aroma with a little grass. Nice clean pils with dry finish. Lemony grassy bitterness in a crisp sip. Medium slick mouthfeel.

Poured from a 12oz can into a two roads pint glass. Purchased in a variety pack in north providence RI.

Pours a straw yellow ever-so-hazy body with a frothy while head that reduces to a ring of foam.

Aroma is definitely pils-like , grassy, light citrus, grainy, light skunk. Tongue matches the nose with a light grassiness, citrus and a light hop bite on the finish. Light refreshing body, medium carb.

A nice thirst quencher, I could crush this in the summer.

Hazy bright yellow color with white head. Aroma has grains and sourdough with a hint of hops. Taste is mainly grainy with some breaddy notes. Finish is slightly hoppy and gets more bitter. Body is medium but fells smooth. Carbonation is on the light side. Bottle is pretty old so the aroma hops might be gone already but apart from that it's a decent pils.

Semi Cloudy gold. Frothy white head.
Smell is herbaceous. Cracker. Biscuit. White bread. Taste is the same as the smell. Feel is high carbonation. Very good.

12 oz bottle poured into a Savor snifter. Bottled 11/16/15.

Pours a clear yellow color with a full finger of fluffy foam. Aroma is full of German hops, hints of aspirin, and dry grass. Flavor is clean, crisp, and full of character. Lots of Pilsner malt sweetness and the dry hopping imparts a good amount of hop flavor. Finishes smoothly bitter.

I really am enjoying this beer. It a hoppy pilsner, and it is done well with no off or conflicting flavors. Well done.
