A reddish/brown color with a small tan head.
Aroma of caramel and fruit.
Caramel and toffee taste up front, followed by some apple.
Rather thick and syrupy.

Bomber bottle, with some sort of dating on the label, but I cannot make sense of it.

Pours clouded, darker amber, medium khaki head, moderate in size and retentive powers. Goes to a thicker film and leaves some low sheeting and strands of lacing.

Malty nose with caramel, vanilla and bready goodness.

Malted up and quite pleasing brew. More smooth caramel malt notes. Tasty and well crafted....well worth a try. Go get some

Had on tap at the brewery

Appearance: 1/4 inch head, low carbonation, red-brown in color, clear

Smell: toasted malt, caramel, and grain

Taste: caramel, grain and a big dose of butter cracker

Mouthfeel: light body for the style, sweet, low carbonation

Overall: A very solid, buttery and malty beverage. The booze on this one hits quick. I would get this again if it was on tap.

Bottled on 2/20/13

Clear copper colored with a beige head of thick foam that slowly settles out. Low aroma of toasted malt and fig.

Rich and malty flavor, subtle sweetness, offset with noticeable bitterness, but well-balanced. Flavors of toasted malt, fig, toffee, and a hint of leather.

Even mouthfeel, full and smooth, finishes tingly. Good representation of the style.

This one poured an mediocre amber with very little head There was not much of any detectable nose except for the presence of malt.
The initial taste was a bit flat, but no question about this one was malt heavy.
This one was big and soft with a malty aftertaste.

Doblebocks are just not my favorite style..

Appearance - Pours clear and purely copper in color with a sandstone colored half-finger width head. Sub-par retention, resulting in a thin, broken layer of surface suds.

Smell - Caramel with light toffee. Earthy and grassy hop undertone.

Taste - Follows the nose, but with more hop presence. Caramel with a hint of toffee met by equal hop notes consisting of mineral earthiness and grassy character. Finish is bittersweet with lingering caramel and grassy notes.

Mouthfeel - Near full in body with moderate carbonation. Slightly sticky texture with a dry finish.

Overall - Eh, an okay doppelbock. Doesn't quite hit on the deeper malt notes that I prefer in my doppels. The hops are also just a bit aggressive for the style. Despite the flaws, its still a drinkable brew.

Pours a honey brown color , a bit murky. The head is small and wispy, settles into a sparse cap.

The aroma is a touch doughy and meaty. Hints of smoke. Nice bock aroma. Simple but hits the mark.

The taste is of a slightly toasted malt with a hint of the doughy Munich malt. Light caramel and pepper. Some tea like notes. Lager like notes but lacking the double bock bang.

The feel is moderate with fizzy carbonation. Sweet on the palate but it's light and has enough of a bitter offset.

Slightly disappointed with this beer. Started off well but needs more of a beefy flavor.

7/5...pours soft brown with scant foam island on top. Malty nose. Sweet. Hints of vanilla and cola. Flat malty taste, thick, some bitter astringency. Caramel/toffee flavors. Hints of cherries mixed in the malt. Smooth.

Btld. 01.18.16. Consumed 05.16.16.

A: Nice light brown-cola in the back-light from the pour while sitting a dark burgundy red in the vessel. A tan, frothy, and slight head of moderate hold provides minimal lacing that was weakly holding on the walls. Visible carbonation was almost non-existent.

S: Sweet toasted caramel bread, dried toffee, is balanced by some earthy green hops. Hints of chocolate, licorice and fresh wort with a very light intention and short duration factor.

T: Heavy on the toffee for flavor, with some sweet caramel chew, and some fresh milk chocolate. Nutty brown malting with a bit of off hop flower bitterness, some mildewy suggestions, occurs on the swallow. age?

M: caramel like mouthful has very little carbonation and a soft chewy texture.

O: this has a very sweet toffee and caramel like malting that will no doubt limit repeats and makes this a dessert style beer. There was a questionable off hop flavor at the trail end with some sour and musky factor, perhaps age, lightstruck a factor? don't know. Two roads makes some decent brew, perhaps this just wasn't for me though, a bit overly sweet and off putting finish.
