Semi blanket of lace. Small head. Amber color and quite clear.

Lots of evergreen hop aroma.

Neutral start to the taste, but it becomes bitter quickly. Very high carbonation with a traditional body for the style.

A-Pours a slightly hazy orange hue. Nice sized head. A big patch of thick fluff. It's retains well and laces well.

S-Fruity yeast and zesty hops. The hops bring me thoughts of clean grass and tangy grapefruit. There was also an oddly noticeable apple juice component. The malt was biscuity and pale.

T-The apple juice flavor is still there. Aside from that are the hoppy citrus and grass. It finishes not too bitter with a sweet, malty bread ending.

M-Drinks easily. Body is crisp and refreshing. Bitterness is rather light.

O/D-A solid APA. Never too bold in any area. A good pint of ale without too much to really dig into with excitement.

On-tap at the tasting room

A dark orange body with a fluffy, slightly off white cap. Great retention as it falls slowly, clinging to the inside of the glass in a spider web fashion.

The nose is a bed of toasted biscuits with pine, orange, and grapefruit leaping from the glass. A near perfect imbalance.

Citric fruit takes hold early with the maris otter lending lightly toasted biscuits through the middle. The finish is a mild rush of pine and citric bitterness with just a touch of sweet, juicy orange and grapefruit adding a little balance. The bitterness wins out, getting a little more intense with each sip. Very nice.

Medium body, smooth, crisp, and super easy to put back.

A well made pale ale. Nicely balanced in all the right places with just that extra kick of bitterness that builds with each sip. Always a sign of a very good beer, in my book.

Had on tap at the brewery

Appearance: minimal carbonation, gold in color, minimal head, clear

Smell: pine and citrus fruit--pineapple and orange

Taste: sweet bread, citrus fruit--pineapple and orange, pine and woodsy hop at the end

Mouthfeel: medium bodied, medium carbonation, bitter with slight sweetness and a dry end

Overall: I really like Little Heaven for the style, because the fruit bursts. For the style, it is fairly complex and there is and interesting woodsy element to this--but it does not taste like a wood aged beer by any means. If I wanted a pale ale, this is one I would go for.

Pours a transparent amber body with copper hues beneath the generous off white head which quickly dissolves to leave a thin ring of lacing.

Sweet and zesty citrus hop aromas float from the glass including orange, grapefruit, and pineapple. There may be just a hint of woody spice as well.

The flavor is similar but the citrus hops are like pineapple or starfruit and are more sweet than biting. Very flavorful as the palate is coated with the sticky hop flavors and only a faint malt backbone exists.

Very crisp and refreshing with great citrus hop flavor that is just right on the mouth so that you can still taste other beers. Medium in body and carbonation and all around clean.

A very nice APA with just enough hops and character to satisfy the senses.
