Just opened in the last few weeks, this is THE DESTINATION for craft beer shoppers in Spokane. I was a bit skeptical of the name, but don;t let Total Wine fool you, they have a HUGE selection of craft (and macro) brews.
In what used to be a Border's book and video store the place is HUGE. You can get a lot of beer, wine and liquor in the building. There are over 450 different beers in cases six-packs and large format bottles. The stock included a lot of beer I have never seen in the area, and according to the staff the selection will be growing. Quantity is also very good. There were cases of craft beers stacked on shelves and isle displays.
There is a 12 tap growler filling station called "The Brew District". The 12 handles change on a rotating basis. They fill growlers you bring in, and they sell 2 different size growlers on-site. They host wine tastings, so I assume you can taste beer in the Brewery District as well.
Service was very good. My wife was looking for an Almond Roca flavored cordial, and the staff spent a lot of time looking for it.
Value is also very good. Six-packs and bottles are selling for less than grocery store prices.
It's a little out of my way at "The Y" but I'll find a way to drop by Total Wine on a fairly regular basis. If they created a beer of the month club I would join. What a place!

Vibe- It has the typical feel of any big box store. This big box store just happens to specialize in something I really like. Don’t get me wrong I love to stroll down the beer aisles and check things out, but nothing jumps out as far as vibe/cool.
Quality- They stock quality products, but I gave them a lower quality rating because of two important factors. First, they have a large amount of product that is past it’s “best by” date. Second, the majority of the product is kept unrefrigerated.
Service- The workers are nice, but they definitely do not have more than an average knowledge of beer. I am yet to talk with any employee at this store I would consider passionate about beer.
Selection- This store has a MASSIVE selection.
Price- Prices are GREAT at this store, usually the lowest you will find for like products!

Nice location with an abundance of ordinary beers but they limit good beers to one per person per day which gets old quickly. They do not seem to get high enough quantities of good beers to go around

Best bottle shop in Spokane. Huge selection of NW brews. Very decent selection of beers sold as singles. Growler station had some interesting options as well. Staff was super friendly and helpful once I was able to track down someone.

The Newport Highway Total Wine is much like any other Total Wine from a beer standpoint -- a big selection of craft and import singles, as well as sixers and, of course, tons of mega lagers. This store had a pretty substantial selection, although only a few refrigerated cases. Like other Total Wines, they have a growler filling station, although at this location they only had 8 options for growler fills.
As always, service staff are friendly and the place is well-staffed, although there was nobody at the growler station when I walked through. This is a pretty good store for picking up interesting stuff; nothing really beats Total Wine for square footage in the beer business.

Large selection of craft beer, much of it from the Pacific Northwest. Good selection of Spokane beers as well. Been in many times and rarely need help, but when I have, the staff has been most helpful.

It's a Total Wine. Which means it has amazing selection and take or make your own 6er. The domestic selection was mostly from the NW, nice to see a bunch of local brews in there. It has a good, if smaller, international selection. This place also fills growlers from a choice of 12 different taps. Good service. And the prices are right.

Located in the Northpointe shopping center, this is a big box store of alcohol, so there's not exactly an "atmosphere," unless looking at bottles on shelves turns you on. Incidentally, due to Washington's massive alcohol taxes, it does not pay to buy hard alcohol here if you are able to drive the 20-30 miles to Post Falls, Idaho, where taxes are much more reasonable. Fortunately, beer is taxed at the normal sales tax rate here (which is high enough), so the only reason to drive east is if Enoteca has something TW does not have in stock (which is always possible, so call before driving to either if in search of something special).
Largest beer selection in Spokane, but that's kind of their raison d'etre, isn't it? While essentially the Wal-mart of alcohol, they DO sometimes get local kegs at their growler station, which is cool for a chain location.
There are employees wandering the aisles, but they don't go out of their way to assist you any more than they do at the Target or Best Buy down the way. I've yet to encounter anyone in the beer section, actually, but I imagine if I actually need to corner someone and ask them a specific question, I could hunt someone down without too much fuss.
Most of the stock sits out on shelves, and is organized by style if coming from America, and by country when imported. A word of caution: Look for dates on the bottles or cans. I've noticed a number of beers are well-past their freshness dates. I saw an IPA from Laht Neppur that, according to TW's own warehouse sticker (LN doesn't put dates on their beers) indicated it had been received more than a year ago.
This place is on the other end of Spokane from where I live, so I don't generally stop by unless in the area, but the selection is large enough to make it a must-visit when I am near, and it pays to call them if hunting something specific. Prices are competitive with everyone else local.

By Far the best bottle shop in Spokane, nobody else even comes close to their selection. Great customer service, the employees are very helpful and friendly. Their beer classes are extremely entertaining and educational. I absolutely love this place and as far as value goes they are very competitively priced so they almost always have the best price in town.
