The latest in the Delicious Concepts group. Dragon Bowl closed, and these guys opened pretty much immediately afterword.

A small place, that is a bit uninviting when you first walk up. A small patio area outside. Inside, there are some booths along the left and tables scattered. A small L shaped wood bar. An open kitchen right behind the bar, so everyone can see them cooking. It carries that funky vibe from Shepherd Park over. Lots of vintage speakers arranged on the wall, outrageous curtains, even a huge fish tank. Eclectic music selection. All familiar from Shepherd Park.

About 15 beers on tap, some wine, and some nasty Asian liquor :) Beer selection is nice, but nothing exceptional. Locals like Saint Arnold and Karback. Real Ale as well. Other various micros like North Coast Scrimshaw, Stone Arrogant Bastard, Hebrew, and a few others. The selection won't wow anybody, but it is great to see more places just concentrating on craft beer.

The service is nothing to complain about. They are interested and check in on you. Though not a lot of knowledge about the current menu or beer. Still, not really a problem. The menu is going to change soon. They just have a few small plates, flat breads, salads, and burgers right now. There will be many more sandwiches to come. I tried the bone marrow, that was excellent.

Overall, I do really enjoy the place. At first the set up in the shopping center by Kroger does not scream welcome, but the place warms to you. Right now I feel I still get a better value at Shepard Park, but I am sure this place will fined its groove. Another good spot in the Heights. I can't wait to see this place grow. I will be back.

Just a little edit on the food: Lots of new burgers that are good, though not my favorite in town. Though the small plates and new sandwiches are constantly excellent. They do a burger and pint night for $10 on Monday, and Tikka Masala and pint for $10 on Tuesday. Other happy hour specials as well. Small plate and pint discounts till 7:00 every night. One of the few places around that does happy hour right, and one of my favorite places in Houston for a huge bowl of Tikka Masala curry.

Went here with family and friends Saturday nite. Champ103 pretty much summed it up. Beer selection is nothing exciting, though they did have a beer from Oasis and 8th Wonder that I had yet to try. Unfortunately the 8th Wonder blew before I could taste it. On the plus side it is dog/pet friendly. I added pet because a lady was on the patio with her parakeets. Food was real solid, service was a tad bit hectic. Waitress kept apologizing because she had just gotten back from vacation. All said I would go back here again, not as a beer destination but more for just hanging out and having a few beers with some pretty good food. One thing that somewhat aggravates me about places like this is that they don't have their taplist published. Since I live outside of town, not the kind of place I can drop into and check out what is new. This would be the type of place that I would go to more regularly if they published their taps and had stuff that I was interested in.
