Stopped by for a short time on a Saturday evening. A few families with small kids (Louisville is very family-friendly) and the normal brewery crowd were present. Pretty busy for the size of the place, especially considering there were only two employees (I believe it was the owner and brewer). It's located next to an American Legion which provides food through a neat little ordering window. Tap room doubles as their brew house along with picnic tables, ping pong, pool, bar. I would have loved to talk a bit with the guys running the taps, but they were far too busy for that.

I had a flight of all current beers they were offering. I'll start with the bad: the imperial stout was one of the worst I've ever had. Luckily that was the only bad part as the IPA was incredible, ESB was great, and the Belgians were all solid. These guys will have some great stuff going in no time. Their prices are excellent.

Edit: I've returned many more times since. They've increased their staff and added a lot of good things to their space- including an outdoor area. Huge improvements in beer as well, I'd call this a must-stop now if you're in the area.

V-Gravity is located in a nondescript commercial park close to downtown Louisville. It is connected by a hallway to the American Legion. The space inside is kinda dark, but it feels comfortable and casual. Tables are mostly beer-hall style picnic tables and the decor is pretty much non-existent...just a few framed posters on the wall. I have visited on a few occasions and each time the place was not very crowded and somewhat quiet. Don't come here looking for a loud, party-boy atmosphere.

Q-I was less-than-blown-away by the beers the first time I visited, but my most recent visit left me singing a different tune. I tried a NE-style IIPA and it was downright good. The black IPA I had was also above average and the sips of other beers revealed some pretty good beer. It isn't mind melting, but I would certainly come back.

Ser-The place was pretty quiet when I visited last, so the service was prompt and attentive because we were the only people ordering. Pours were reasonable, i.e., right amount of head and in the appropriate glassware. The bartender was not that interested in answering questions about the beers though.

Sel-Gravity had at least ten beers on offer when I visited. The style spectrum was nice and broad. They had a NE-style IPA and IIPA, a black IPA, as well as some fruited beers and a few darker varieties.

F-Gravity does serve food and it is decent. While the kitchen is permanent, the menu mimics a food truck, so don't expect delicacies or fine dining. The buffalo style cauliflower is damn good.

O-A nice experience with good beer and no hype. I'll take more of this.

Gravity is a great, creative brewery with a chill, spacious taproom in downtown Louisville, just past the train tracks. Sit outside and catch a sunset while sipping on one of Gravity's inventive brews...

When I visited, their 13 taps of house beer included everything from a Belgian ale to a Russian imperial stout. Kriek, Golden ale, Double IPA, you name it... Some were good, some were great (their Kepler sour is outstanding) and others are boring/bad (Golden Mosaic APA, Grim Whiipa IPA).

But regardless, it is a fun place to stop by and have one or three. Food looks good too, will try next time. Super friendly service.

this place is awesome. ive driven by a million times, but they always seem to be closed when i am in town. they must keep some strange hours. finally caught them with their doors open, and im glad i did. they probably had ten beers on, plus a couple of homemade sodas. everything i had was awesome, but i loved the brlgian kriek, super dark fruity and dry for the style, and i loved the spruce beer (actually a soda). never had a beverage like this in my life, so delicious and refreshing. some barrel aged stuff on tap too, which is always fun to see. they have a great space, large and open with a very long bar, visible brewing tanks, and several game tables. good mix of high and low top seating, and a gorgeous back patio with hops growing up around the perimeter. such a comfortable place to be. the one bartender was a little overworked it seemed like, there was a line to get a drink the whole time, but the place was not overly busy. we found a comfy seat at a picnic table and really enjoyed all the drinks we had. i was surprised they were all as good as they were, the high price points of their bottles in the market and some stories about personalities here have turned me off, but i didnt encounter anything but good beer and good vibes. very much looking forward to tasting a few more on my next visit! louisville is awful lucky to have several breweries of such high quality all right in town...
