Notes: IF YOU WANT MORE HOPS, YOU GOT IT! So it seems there are quite a few fans of our “BON” TNTPA out there (ourselves included). So why not make it a whole lotta BON with an Imperial version? Well that’s just what we did – Smooth gentle and soft light malt gives way to a massive and unique bright citrus / juicy tropical + stone fruit signature that overwhelms the palette, but finishes dry and pleasingly.

Pours dark amber. The nose comes out extremely tropical, so much fruit in the taste and very refreshing despite the high ABV for a single IPA. Enjoyed it.

Pours Amber with one finger white head. Nice aroma of grapefruit and malts. Taste citrus, mango, candied fruit and malts. Great one from singlecut. Look forward to more from them.

Growler into pint glass. Pours an opaque hazy orangey-straw color, kinda like grapefruit juice - not particulary attractive, but then you don't drink beer for its looks. Initial impression obliterates any aesthetic concerns. This is a citrus bomb from the get-go, with sweet undertones (mango? honey?) and a nice dank juiciness. Mouthfeel is on the thick side of medium - almost chewy. Carbonation is fairly light but refreshing. Finish is remarkably consistent with the citrus/sweet/dank profile. This is a really tasty DIPA.

It doesnt get much better than this. Period. Pour is hazey slight orange straight out of the can. First sip a burst of citrus, pineapple, hopps heaven.. incredibly smooth.. does not feel like 8% + beer. Flavor is beautifully consistent all the way through with an elegantly crisp dry finish ... WOW ... first time having this and I'm sad my one can alloted to me by a very generous package store owner is now finito ... not sure how this can be topped.

POUR: Pint can into tulip glass. APPEARANCE: Golden amber in color. clear. Nice thick white head. Head starts to recede after settling and remains a ring around the glass. A fair amount of glass lacing is present. AROMA: Nice subtle hop aroma. Not overpowering and is interesting for an IIPA. Smells of slight lemon and a bunch of melon or guava/mango. TASTE: Very subtle and smooth. Mouth fell is almost thick. No pop or zing. Mead like. Mango/guava melon is followed by a leveling honey element. Very mellow. Not as strident as other IIPA. Somewhat dank and juicy. Boozy warming feel. AFTERTASTE: Boozy warmth continues to the end. Finishes somewhat dry considering the dank beginnings. The melon elements continue to the end. NOTES: Nice straight forward and consistent brew from start to finish. Very different from other IIPA hop bomb types. Subtle, dank and warming. REVIEW/RATING: Very good/ 4.5 out of 5.

This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a bright hazy burnt orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated nicely. Messy lacing roams around the glass nicely The smell starts off with a chock full of bursting citrusy goodness of hops blending with some danky oniony bittersweetness. That "iced" pulpiness combines as it warms. The flavor is pretty much the exact same. Quick riding danky bittersweet oniony aftertaste (almost like a Stone Enjoy by) but then the finish is kinda sticky sweet. On the palate, this one sat about a medium in body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation rides at a nice level - to lead a nice stickiness but semi-smooth, fairly nice "juicy" contour over my tongue. Overall, fantastic DIPA that I would love to have again.

Had this beer many times and am surprised this is the first time rating it. Anywho, here goes, from a can:

L: Classic NEIPA. Opaque haze, light amber, bright white head dissipating slowly. Nice lacing.

S: Everytime I have this beer I have the same reaction: "Yup there it is". Such a unique stone fruit & citrus combination that I can't quite identify. It's got it's own thing going on but is just so appealing.

T: Rich ripe mango + pine resin + some pineapple I guess and tangerine. Smooth malt, not obtrusive but is there as a perfect base. Firm bitterness but this latest batch isn't quite as biting as previous ones, I'd say this is my favorite so far.

F: Very NEIPA, soft, full, fluffy.

O: Among the pantheon of greats for me.

Thanks to farnold for this 16 oz. can, which foreshadows my first ingestion of anything Singlecut. Nice label. Canned 4/11/17 with “TURN LEFT” stamped on the bottom. I’m certain that means something.

The pour looks just like the NE does on a map: orange, juicy, & liberal. And why do these always smell like oranges to me? Is it some olfactory/nasal trickery, or am I sensing these thing accurately? Touch of citrus & pine in the nose, but it’s light. Or faint, if you’re feeling uncharitable.

Bon Bon 2x TNT is much kinder & gentler than its testosterone-laced name implies. Florida oranges, citrus (don’t ask me how those are different), pine. All presented on a bed of soft, mineral-laced water. Mid-palate brings moderate bitterness, grapefruit, & a bit of lemon zest brings a zing right at the finish. As juicy as expected, & I will not struggle to put away this pint.

This tastes like a template for a NE IPA - haze, check, fruity, check, pillowy softness, check. Really good beer.

Poured from a can dated 4/11/17. The beer pours a hazy, opaque, orange, amber color that is really amazing with a fluffy, white head. The head stuck around for about five minutes then left really thick lacing.

The smell is out of this world. Tons of tropical and citrus fruits getting three feet away. There's grapefruit, orange, mango, and even a little pineapple. The smell makes me very excited to taste it.

The taste is tons of orange peel, pineapple, and grapefruit with a nice earthy taste. There's a little pine resin and malt present also.

The mouthfeel is thick juice with low carbonation and really smooth.

Overall this is great. The smell alone is worth searching out this beer. The taste could pop a bit more citrus for me, and that's the only thing keeping the score from moving up a bit.
