Notes: THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTNING! This IPA is created with new-age PNW hop varieties as well as a bit of NZ too. Soft, creamy mouthfeel with light malt support. Then we add even more rhapsody with a second mondo dry-hop. Bright citrus, stone fruit and mild resin combine for a uniquely satisfying experience.

Poured fr om the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Opaque body with a solid simple glow of muted amber orange color. Head creation is a bit soapy but large, reaching an easy three plus tall height, but has quite a bit of bathfoam like retention. Big and bubbly top that pops to bring the head down quickly.

Good solid hop aroma, somewhere between grass and tropical notes. Hints slightly pineapple but also a little earthy too.

Palate seems a little dumbed down. Good solid malt backbone, hits a little creamy but not heavily and straightforward. Mid palate hits with a small accentuate fruit hop tone, and a touch of chalky medicine slightly. Finishes a touch of malt and cream like sweet but not terribly, but with a good herbal hop bitterness.

Not too bad, but has a very minor flavor flaw I think.

Hazy orange color, lots of floaties, light tan head. Nose is all sorts of piney and tropical citrus hops. Mouth is now watering.

The piney hops surprisingly combine really with the tropical citrus hops - this is very bitter, but not astringenly so. Simply outstanding, IMHO.

POUR: On draft into a tulip glass. Enjoyed and Smoke and Barrel in D.C. APPEARANCE: Lighter amber in color and only slightly hazy. Thin white head is present and has some moderate glass lacing. AROMA: Slight notes of hoppy and floral. Distinct grapefruit/peach notes. TASTE: Interesting. Definitely skews towards a light berry with a citrus twist. Raspberry lemonade? Following the nose, floral elements show up as well. Light, delicate and somewhat clean. AFTERTASTE: Finishes clean and somewhat crisp with a pale hop and malt backend. NOTES: Interesting brew. Peach and berry flavors show up and mixes well with the light citrus. Well crafted. REVIEW/ RATING: Very Good/ 4 out of 5.

Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass, canned on 1/9/18. Pours a very attractive slightly hazy orange with a one inch sticky white head that leaves plenty of streaks of lace behind.

Smell is tangerine, apricot, guava, pine resin, and grapefruit rind.

Taste follows this thing has a ton of tropical fruit and slightly bitter, as you would expect from a beer packing 109 IBUs.

Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, plenty of carbonation, not really dry, but a tad stick on the palate, and for me drinks easy enough, but this is a hop monster.

Overall this stuff really nice, a combo of NE and West Coast IPA.

pours a nice glowing hazy orange with a thick head, looks awesome

smell is wafting through the air, i love that. notes of citrus, mango/orange.

taste is insane, tons of fruit and beautiful hoppiness. solid bitterness but mostly sweet fruit and pure hops. finishes creamy with some nice bitterness. easy drinker but has a full body

this is damn good. has NE IPA haze, pure fruit aroma and tons of bitterness while remaining creamy and balanced. really good

super cloudy light orange, outstanding lacing - perfect sheets of micro bubbles, decent cap of foam persists, good looking and what you would expect from an unfiltered IPA

bright citrus (think hyper orange) along with pine all melted into a background of fresh wet hop goodness, balanced but yet stunningly hoppy, honey notes of malt detected as well, awesome

taste etc...
medium bodied but a little underwhelming in the carbonation department, leaning more tropical this is a bit sweet, it finishes better with some lemon and nice bitter tone (and some green hop flavor)

kind of a mash up a the usual west coast ipa mixed with the new wave of hops (which I don't personally care for). I like more bitter and more pine/resin/green. The nose on this thing is fantastic, rhinoplasty need not apply.

A hazy light copper color with no nice head and no lacing. Aroma was of citrus hints. A nice pleasant citrus taste with hints of pine. Medium bodied with little carbonation but very pleasant. A decent Double Dry Hopped IPA with a nice character.

Hazy, but not super-turbid. Lots of citrus on the nose and the palate follows through with the same. Soft mouthfeel, semi-juicy, and low bitterness, but isn't a full-on NE juice-bomb; has a bit of a West Coast lean. Overall, this is good, but underwhelming. Some Singlecut beers are worth the high price, but this one isn't.

Hazy, almost opaque orange appearance, with a creamy white head. Medium retention, sheets of lacing.

The nose is sweet mango and papaya, some apricot and passion fruit, orange candy, pineapple, sweet toasted malt, earthy dankness.

The palate delivers ripe mango, papaya, yellow peach, passion fruit, orange peel; a big but only slightly sweet toasted bread malt backbone, some more orange peel on the finish, along with some earth. The aftertaste dries out with just a bit of lingering earthiness.

The mouthfeel is medium-plus, creamy, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes just slightly dry, fairly clean.

Purchased cold - Can dated 10/10/17 - Poured into an English pub glass

L - Pours a hazy orange-amber color, with a dense one finger head on a perfect pour that quickly dissipates leaving all but a thin veil on top. Solid lines of lacing as it goes down.

S - Citrus pith, papaya, pineapple, and slight melon with a subdued crackery malt backbone.

T - Following the nose, papaya, pineapple, melon, with a bit of lemon and just a hint of herbal dank.

F - Light to medium bodied with very fine carbonation.

O - Another monster of an AIPA from Singlecut, and a real pleasure to drink. It's nice to have such a huge assortment of ever rotating brews, however it does make me wish there were some standards that were always available. For my area, every Singlecut is basically a one-off.

Poured from a tap look is beautiful. Real nice burnt yellow. Taste is reminiscent of many New England style IPAs. Citrus aromas everywhere. Decent amount of carbonation. I enjoyed this beer.

This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a burnt yellow color with a nice hazy to semi-transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace to fill a one finger white foamy head that quickly dissipated and left some light messy lacing here and there. The smell has some sharp dry citrus rind, bitter and bold, light danky onion (wants to be sweet, but not so much). Grapefruit rind more so as it warms. The flavor takes the citrus rind and allows some pine to run in for the ebb and flow over the aftertaste. Dry bitter rind-like finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body. Between a sipping to sessionable quality. Good carbonation - light enough to allow structured bitterness to hit my tongue, but doesn’t necessarily become overbearing. Overall, damn nice AIPA that I would love to have again.

A: doughy pour with sediment floaties and a darker caramel body than the last few juice bombs I had.

S: biscuit, some pnw hop aromas , some noble in aroma

T: caramel base stronger than most juicy ipas i have had very recently. A malt backbone of cracker / biscuit and a noble hop presence like i was not expecting. Very faint pineapple, some light gooseberry and some peach. Overall its pretty faded, maybe a month past its prime but really faded. Maybe fresh its better?

M: mid body, mid carb

O: prob wont be getting this one again. I have enjoyed all of their offerings and this was the least likeable so far. I had preciously enjoyed all of them but the hops here are not for me. Its more a "noble pils" ipa than a juicy ipa

Pours a straw color with almost a full finger of head. The nose has distinct citrus hop notes. The flavor has a delicious blend of malt, citrus and hops. The finish is hoppy as expected.

This is one classic IPA.

On-tap 2/25/2017 at Natty Greene’s Tavern served in a tulip glass.

A: The beer is a deep cloudy gold color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains fruity citrus, piney hops and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of citrus and caramel followed by a strong piney hops bitterness. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, good kick, very good representation of style, this is a very good IPA to drink for a long time.

Aromas are wonderful. Candied lemon and apricot. Beautiful.
Flavor is incredible. In line with aromas, such delicious layers of non-sour lemon, apricot.
Mouthfeel was good.
Overall this beer is fantastic,. Juicy, no bitterness. Delightful.

Pours a semi-hazey straw gold, great carbonation and topped with fluffy dome. Aroma is delicate verging on faint with some delicate flowery hop notes and citrus. Pretty easy going IPA, which is more my speed - notes of melon rind, dry pear and mild grassy hops (lots of cascade for me though it used unnamed PW varietals) which add a nice earthy bitterness without being overpowering. There is a sweeter malt backbone (crystal) that adds a little sugar note as well. Simple but very well done beer. Allows the hops to accentuate the beer and not hammer the tongue.

Drinking very fresh, bottled 2.1.17

Good looking brew. Prettt pungent tropical aromas including pineapple, orange, grapefruit, peach. Weedy dankness, garlic, onion, and some pine. Taste follows mostly, but without the big tropical notes I got when I popped the bottle. Getting peach, pithy grapefruit, weed, green herbaceous and grassy notes, resinous pine. Unfortunately some astringent alcohol coming through. Decent mouthfeel.

Overall I think single cut makes some decent IPAs and that's about what this is, decent.

Poured bottle dated 10/12/16 into tulip. Has a two finger white head and great lacing. Nice aroma pine and stone fruit. The taste is the same but with the addition of citrus. The mouthfeel is well balance and very smooth and bitter. Overall another great offering for singlecut which I would definitely get again.

Maybe this is a bad bottle? Really deep dark gold, not much smell and a ton of malty sweetness. Bitter kick at the end, not getting any of the NZ hops.

Had on tap. Pours hazy, bright yellow in color with 2/3 inch head. Taste is lemon, wheat, mango, and a touch of citrus rind at the end. Very light and juicy. Really like the way Single Cut does IPAs and this is up there with my favorites of theirs. Worth seeking out.

way more bitter than any of their other stuff, and arguably my least favorite from them so far, although there is no doubt that the journey out to colorado was unkind to this sensitive brew, tastes a little old, past its prime, but it isnt, which is interesting and disappointing. i like the hop complexion and could see this being incredible super fresh, i get peaches on it for sure, a little soapy pine, pretty interesting and soft, it hardly prepares the drinker for the ensuing bitterness, which is almost harsh because it comes out of nowhere. i really like the hops here, but the grain to me tastes a little too big, a little stale, and a bit oxidized, thats the part that sets me back here. still juicy and fresh on the hop side, but the malt doesnt come along with it quite so well here. lots of sediment here too, more than any of their other bottles i have had by far, its even mucky by the bottom of the bottle, not nice even in east coast ipa, but its still so fluffy and heady and alive. fun beer, but i probably did not get the best sample of it. definitely hope to revisit this one down the track...

375 ml bottle. Pours beautiful hazy orange with thick white head that slowly fades to a giant clump of suds, intricate lacing. Sweet tropical melony aroma. Taste starts out with lots of sweet pale malt, melon rind and citrus juice flavors. The hops turn earthy, lots of onion, pine sap and grass in the finish. Powerful contrasting flavors that come together fairly well. Thin semi slick feel, dry finish.

A bomber dated 7/20 received from generous BA guinness77 poured in a Weyerbacher tulip for the review.

Look- Pours a hazy iridescent pale yellow with two fingers of creamy white foam. Beautiful lacing is left behind in it's aftermath!

Smell- Grapefruit, passionfruit, mango, some onion and butyl in the back.

Taste- Juicy passionfruit, mango, grapefruit, floral and some pineapple. There is a hint of orange zest that appears in the finish.

Feel- Slick and resiny with a slight bitter and dry finish.

Overall- Another fine IPA by the folks at Singlecut! A palate pleasing mix of tropical juice, floral notes and a slick malt backbone in a very drinkable 7.2% beer. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
