FAR AWAY ACROSS THE FIELD there is a golden IIPA with a tropical / bright citrus / mild pine and spice with smooth / soft lightly sweet malt that will take you home home again. This version has two ginormous dry-hop additions. (This is the beer formally known as DOUBLE DRY-HOPPED SOFTLY SPOKEN MAGIC SPELLS IIPA).

Golden color with a 4F head in a Tulip glass.
Tropical fruits which broaden with warming.
Smooth MF, semi-viscous.
Intense tropical fruit bland in the taste.
Despite the high IBUs, I don’t find the beer to be very hoppy.
Just enough of a hoppy finish.
Great beer.

Can to snifter.

LOOK: hazy yellow, frothy white head. ok retention.

AROMA: muted citrus and tropical fruit.

TASTE: get same (from aroma) flavors better in tasting. add grass, wheat,

FEEL: smooth, sneaky good small bubble carbonation.

Similar to Old Nation Boss Tweed which I just had a few of. Not quite as tasty, but right up that alley.

16oz can into a tulip

Look: Pours an opaque, pale orange. It's small white cap of a head dissipates quickly into a thin ring of foam.
Smell: Mostly citrus up front, orange/grapefruit and rind. Some melon and pineapple.
Taste: I'm getting more hops up front on the palate, and about as much citrus/fruit as the nose would indicate. Slight burn on the end.
Feel: Medium, with low carbonation and small bubbles.
Overall: Another delicious SingleCut IPA. My only real complaint is the burn on the end of the palate. Balance between juicy citrus and more bitter piney hop flavor is nice.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Pale orange body color, opaque and solid with a flat appearance. Holds off on turbidity or haze, with a very bubble bath short head barely reaching three fingers off the pour. Big thick soapy bubbles with little retention, and virtually no lacing.

Subtle hop aroma, somewhere between tropical and citrus notes. Hints at a little bit of juice but mostly kind of small and hidden.

Palate seems a bit more expressive than the nos, but only slightly. Interesting hop flavor, somewhere between floral and tropical notes. A bit of large baby aspirin flavor to this unfortunately, and a slightly chalky mouthfeel to go with it. Comes off as a bit gritty grainy aftertaste as well.

Hard to pinpoint this, but it's lacking a little in body and flavor, with some odd qwerks on my palate.

Nice citrus taste, perfect for close of a hot day. Nice smooth and taste of lemon.

L-Hazy, golden yellow..........1 inch head with moderate retention.........moderate lacing that slides easily down the glass

S-Sweet malts with some fruity hops to balance it out......aroma weakens quickly.......some notes of melon and pine

T-Juicy, more tropical than the nose.....mango, pineapple, grapefruit, .......very tasty......kiwi, honeydew.......mild bitter finish with some citrus rind

F-medium, slightly prickly, slight alcohol warmth in the finish

O-solid IPA
