Pint can, without any date, poured into a tulip at about 48F.

Pours a medium to deep honey/peach golden, with a lot of haze. Not full opacity, but very little translucency. Weak fizzy head settles down to a completely still top in a matter of moments.

Nose: So there was no canning date on this particular can, and I'm really hoping it's old, because if not, the nose is just a wreck out of the gate. The primary aroma is stale musty yeast. Like an IPA that has sat at room temperature for 3 months. Stale, musty, and yeasty. I'm also getting a strong catty note, but this could also be due to a hop varietal like Summit- HOWEVER, I am also getting a funky sweet and sour pineapple, and to me, the combination of the pineapple, cat, and stale yeast just screams old beer. No other hop notes on the nose. A sweet biscuity malt aroma on the back end as well.

Palate: I'm gonna go ahead and make the call that this is just an old can. There's just no way a beer this awful would have a 4+ rating. I'm getting lots of yeast. Stale yeast. I'm getting a sharp, overbearing bitterness that's just indicative of an old, improperly stored IPA. Stale yeast, bitter hop oils, vague malt sweetness, lingering oily bitterness...It's just a stale beer.

Mouthfeel is medium-full, with a slight malty stickiness. Slightly over-carbonated, but that's almost certainly due to the age of the can. Feels like a very fizzy DIPA

Overall: It would not be fair of me to give this a rating in the condition that it's currently in. I can see this possibly having some character and being somewhat likeable when it's fresh, but in the shape it's in, it's going to be a drain pour, unfortunately. So since I've made it this far, I will compromise somewhere in the middle, and give this all 4's across the board. Will update this review when I obtain a fresh can.

Big effervescent bubbles for an IPA. About a finger of head. Beer almost opaque orange color in the glass. Nice tropical juicy notes on the nose with just a touch of cattiness. Cattiness has a bite that is more pronounced on the taste. Definitely a bit high on the IBU's. Date-code is on the bottom of the side of the can; almost missed it.

Bought a can from the Beer Shop. Bright orange murky appearance with a thin head. The beer has a full aroma of citrus flavors like orange peel and grapefruit. Bittersweet; great combination of mostly grapefruit and mango. Crisp mouthfeel. Overall, fantastic look, aromas, and taste.

Undated can into pint glass. Pours a very cloudy amber color with a brief off-white head. Initial impression is orange, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, and caramel, followed by a touch of earthiness. Mouthfeel is sticky but not objectionably so; carbonation is perfect. Slight alcohol burn. Finish is kind of sweet, but with enough residual bitterness to call it a draw. A very good IIPA.

dense and thick, darker shade for a hazy, like a rusty color to it, nice head though from the tap, huge concentrated hop nose, almost frosted and crystalline to me, candied or something, absolutely as intense as it gets, maybe some cryo hops or lupulin powder in here or something, it has that almost overdosed aroma about it, but its real appealing, lemon candy, mango. it tastes familiar to me somehow, like i have either had something similar from these guys or the hop profile has made the rounds, but ive been here before a little bit, which is not a knock against it, quite the opposite, it calls up fond memories of these flavors in the past. mango and melon and lemon to the hops, super oily, west coasty even with all the haze in that respect, interesting though too, a little vegetal bite bit not from being overdone. it warms up kind of poorly though, becoming heavy and sticky and out of whack, but when its cold its awesome. this is huge beer, i feel like it would benefit a little bit from a reduction of grain and abv, it sure is powerful stuff right now, and i feel the alcohol take effect immediately. not as well refined as their best beers, but well ahead of the curve in the style right now!
