Notes: Through a cloud of dust and smoke, barreling down a flat highway somewhere between Hell and the sun comes the next in our beloved Genre! series... an ode to all things brash and a little stoned: DESERT! DDH IIPA. A resinous tip of the brim to our favorite Stoner Rock that sprang from the California Desert communities in the 90s and 00s- DESERT! shares a familiar DNA with the rest of it's fam (Prog! Glam! Grunge! Metal!), but twists it's formula towards the Dankside- chewy and tart tangerine, Trainwreck, fresh blueberries, candied strawberry, lots and lots of fresh grapefruit essence, with a creamy mouthfeel and long resinous finish.

16oz. canned on 10-8-19, opened 11-10-19.
1 1/2" white head with long retention. Pale golden, orange juice color. Fresh lacing.
Fruit salad, pear, orange, peach, berries.
Follows the nose, there's a gritty, ashy malt presence underneath the fruit salad. A little more zippy/tangy citrus late.
Medium body and carbonation. Soft-ish mouthfeel. Medium length fruity finish. Low bitterness. Some 7.7% heat.

Murky golden pour with dense white cap that laces nicely. Smells deliciously of juicy citrus and slightly sweet bready malt. Taste is expanded and even better with various mild berry notes joining the fray. Exceptionally smooth and creamy, and finish is ever so slightly sweet. Spot on tasty.

Poured into a Teku glass, opaque lemon meringue color with an off white creamy /foamy head. Smell is abundant of berries, grapefruit, tangerine, even distinct strawberry,Wow! Taste is grapefruit, stone fruit, berries, sweet strawberry. Feels mildly viscous for DIPA, ample carbonation, finishes juicy. Singlecut is a master of the New England style IPA. Overall I have never been disappointed with any IPA from them. Their Pilsner was pretty terrible.

Poured from a 16oz can into a Speiglau IPA glass.

Look is a pale hazy yellow with a frothy white head.

Aroma is lots of tangerine citrus.

Tastes like a tangerine infused pithy IPA.
