Billy Full Stack Double IPA is yet another winner from SingleCut. I started out reviewing beers never thinking I would find one brewery that would blow my mind every time.

L: hazy golden peach in color, quick head, with fine lacing
S: Citrus and pine upfront, brown sugar hints
T: Unbelievable fruit forward, tropical if not sunny florida citrus
F: Heavy double weight, full explosive on all parts of the taste spectrum. Bitter hops, malty, dank, sweetness. Almost too good to be true
O: A standard in American Double

Though Bon Bon delivered a slightly more unique experience, Billy Full Stack pars with all great beers in this category. Not elusively hard to find, which puts it far above trendy stand in line delivery day beers. Make beer available, not hard to find.

This is a world class beer.

I read the label first, which allowed me to avoid having this beer with food. 138 IBUs. Wow. Big-time grapefruit and the hops are overwhelming. I seem to have gotten more of a pine feel/taste than most who have tried this, but overall this was very impressive...take your time with this one.

Totally caught me off guard. I was expecting a GOOD beer, but I have a new entry in my top 3. I live in Treehouse/Lawson/Heady land, and this fella right here is in the mix. Fantastic beer.

Wow. This was a great beer! Really well balanced and although it is a hefty beer, I found that it drank really, really easily. I'm definitely ISO more Singlecut beers. Great stuff!

Bottle shared by Curran last night.

Pours a golden, slightly dark orange, with a one inch head, and a little bit of lacing.

Smells quite pungent, with some peach, passionfruit, pine, and grass.

Singlecut really seems to know what they're doing with IPAs. This one's made with PNW and Southern Hemisphere hops, and it's got that earthy fruitiness that I really love from New Zealand hops. There's some grassiness, a bit of pine, and a big hit of pungent grapefruit, orange, pineapple, peach, and passionfruit. Awesome.

This is medium bodied, with a crisp and juicy mouthfeel. It feels lighter than a Double IPA would feel like. The ABV is hidden pretty well.

Though this isn't quite world class, it's still a most excellent IPA and definitely one of the better ones made in NY.

A: golden ale with tiny bubbles slipping up from the pint; fat head of foam slimmed to a cap and left lacy trails down the glass

S: potent floral and grain aromas brought both dankness and bright pine and citrus all at once

T: super-clean and fresh flavors abound - fresh-cut grains and pale bright fruits, lots of floral aspects - lightly sweetened and cleanly bitter

M: smooth, soft, and subtle bitterness; well-rounded and medium-weight - super-drinkable

O: another excellent entry from SingleCut - y'all are gonna want to get yer hands on some o' this if it comes around

Dark orange and hazy beer with a pillowy white head that leaves lacing all about. The aroma is tangerine, caramel, pine and a nice malt sweetness. The taste is citrus and caramel with a bruising bitterness that fades and melds perfectly with the sweetness. World class brew.

Pours a beautiful honey orange with thick white foam, clingy lacing.
Aroma is sweet and malty with citrus and resin.
Taste follows the maltiness of the nose, with lots of citrus and pine on the finish.
Creamy mouthfeel with just a hint of bitterness on the finish.

I don't usually love the malty IPAs but this is very good.

Really like their Billy 18 Watt so hopefully this is as good. Bottled 5/10/16

Pours a large fizzy foamy almost 1 finger head reinforced by many streaming bubbles, fades semi slowly with nice lacing, murky tangerine orange color.

Nose explodes with juicy citrus, loads of citrus in all forms, some orange cream, clementine, tangerine, a little pith and faint grapefruit, some peachy stone fruit, touch of rind, a touch of creamy malt underneath, a little musty tropical fruit notes, tropical citrus specifically.

Taste brings lots more juicy citrus, more pith this time, a little bitter rind but not much, more like a fresh squeezed orange juice loaded with pulp and mixed with grapefruit juice, plenty of grapefruit this time as well, that bitter grapefruit flavor, some tangerine as well, and again a little peachy stone fruit, juicy white peach actually, a little floral and faint musty tropical notes again, with a nice big creamy malt base, not too sweet just enough to balance the big hop presence, a juicy chewy feel like I'm chewing in the creamy malt pulp pulverized in there. Finish is dry and pretty bitter, tons more grapefruit bitterness, more citrus rind, tangerine, orange juice, peach skin, and a touch of creamy malt lingering, and a hint of booze warmth late.

Mouth is full rich bod chewy creamy like there is a touch of gelatin and orange/grapefruit pulp just blended in, so chewy but in a good way, and nice carbonation, with just a hint of booze late.

Overall this was an awesome beer, even better than the original Billy 18-watt, basically just a big citrus orange grapefruit mash with nice malt balance, hint of sweetness, and incredible mouth feel. This just quickly moved up to the high end of my fav IPAs, probably top 10.

Bottle from Colonial Spirits.
Pours a hazy murky grapefruit juice color with a huge bubbly bone white head that persists. Bready toffee caramel maltiness with plenty of earthy citrus to counter. Sweet bready fruity maltiness. Citrus and pine hop flavor. Light to moderate hop bitterness. Not bad, a bit sweet for my tastes though

Tremendous thanks goes out to e JxExM for surprising me with a 32oz growler of this brew and a matching imperial pint glass to go with it...at an in person meeting where the guy was helping me out with a glass want. True advocacy!!! but i digress...onto the beer...

a - brew poured a classic murky orange with just shy of 2 fingers of frothy ipa-ish white head. the head dissolved leaving the expected sticky chunky lacing.

s - very crisp and clean. great balanced hopping. dank sweaty citrus with some bitterness on the finish of the smell.

t - slapped in the face with hoppy bitterness. fairly crisp. the hops are piney and dank. very fresh...with a bitter finish.

m - clean and crisp...almost soapy. bitter finish. medium bodied, a hint of the heat is present.

o - overall, my first taste of singlecut, a brewery of been quite curious about and this was not a disappointment. not the best IIPA i've had, but one to be proud of from a new local brewery. nice job. i look forward to trying more from this brewery.

SingleCut is local brewery in New York who is making amazing beers of all varieties. This beer is amazing, hands down on the DIPA scale. (Also try Bon Bon TNT, another fantastic DIPA)

A- golden in color, this beer has a very light orange to yellowish hue. Looks great in a glass

S- man this beer smells good! Great citrus and pine, it all comes out in the bouquet.

T- great taste of citrus, pine, resin, but oh so smooth and just the right amount of hoppy bitter.

F- crisp in the mouth, it's sort of on the lighter side of a medium body.

Overall you could not ask for more in an DIPA..give it a whirl!

From 07/29/14 notes. Had on tap at Fool's Gold in NYC...been wanting to try this one for a while, glad to see it on. 14 oz. pour in a wine glass stemware.

a - Pours a somewhat hazy bright orange-amber color with one inch of off white head and moderate carbonation evident. Looks good.

s - Smells of citrus hops, fruity malts, pine hops, lemon zest, grapefruit, and earthy notes. Light spice as well. Nice nose, nice fresh citrus up front.

t - Tastes of citrus hops, resin, pine hops, grapefruit, fruity malts, tropical fruits, and floral hops. Awesome taste, lots going on and very nice. Little step up from the nose.

m - Medium body and low to carbonation. Easy to drink and no bitterness at all.

o - Overall I liked this one quite a bit and think it is the best Singlecut beer I've had. Lots of citrus, no bitterness, and very easy to drink, would love to have it again.

From a 4-week-old bottle, pours a hazy orange with a half-finger head. Smell is a fruit storm--peaches, mango, pineapple and passion fruit, plus some grapefruit, with spicy herbal notes and a bit of breadiness. Taste is a complex blend of fruit and earthy dankness, with a good offsetting bitterness that keeps it from being too sweet. Nice medium feel. Absolutely killer beer.

OK, so I have had quite a few top the top IPAs and IIPAs out there, but I am not an expert, but I consider this to be to me the greatest beer I have ever had. Better than Heady Topper, all the Tree House brews, etc. I haven't had any Pliny yet, but I will tell you that this ever is severely under-rated. To me this beer is perfect. I actually feel euphoria when drinking it. I wouldn't even know how to improve on this beer. Only thing bad is it is hard to get consistently in the Albany, NY area.

This beer is fantastic!! Look is bright yellow golden, semi translucent and a huge soapy white head with great retention that leaves thick sheets of lacing. Huge grapefruit and citrus smell and the taste is exactly the same, but with a piney resinous taste on the back end. Feel is medium, crisp and has good carbonation. Overall this is super hoppy, delicious and one of the best IPAs/IIPAs I've ever had.

Pours into an imperial pint glass a clear lighter golden with a sticky half finger bone white head atop.Dank herbal hops hit me up front in the nose then some tropical fruits, and then to gild the lilly some pine resin to boot,a big hop combo here.Very smooth in the mouth and a silky feel wich you wont find alot of in the style.Sweet onion, tropical fruits, grapefruit rind, pine resi,it's all here on the palate,I mean what else needs to be sai. There is a mild sweet biscuit base that comes thru even amongst all the hop complexity. This is a damn fine DIPA where the maly sweetness doesn't get in the way.Awesome!.
