look: 3.75 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 4

16.9oz bottle. Pours a murky burnt orange color with very little head. Lots of lacing. The aroma is a hoppy blend of dank hops and tropical fruits. Light notes of honey along with some citrus. The taste is citrus and dank hops with some sweet honey and toasted malts. More pine and papaya towards the end. Floral hops and papaya finish. Some alcohol burn. Medium bodied with a somewhat lighter than expected mouthfeel. Overall, worth grabbing every so often.

2 weeks from bottling date

Appearance- Pours a deep pale straw, light golden color. Pillowy, creamy white colored head. Lots of stickiness to sides of glass.

Aroma- Sweet orange juice, orange zest. Bit of lemon. Juicy mango, papaya, pineapple juice.

Taste- Oranges, grapefruit, lemons, mango. More citrus notes than tropical, although there is a nice balance of sweet tropical, its just subtle. Grassy earthiness with a slight bitter dankness.

Feel- Medium feel, slightly creamy. Nice crisp carbonation.

Overall- Excellent double IPA. Citrus takes center stage in this one, although there is nice depth and complexity. Excellent, excellent use of hops.

pours nice dark orange with no transparancy evident. nice and cloudy. pillowy head retains well.I dint want to take a sip cause I don't want to ruin the look. nose is bursting of tropical notes and stone fruit. taste nice subtile pine with some floral in there right up front giving way to tropical mango, peaches, maybe some guava and apricot rounding out this full mouthfeel beauty. overall a little alcohol at the end but does not retract from a very nice beer. second beer ive had from singlecut and it delivers. entire palate wrecked.

I've had Full Stack from a 16.9 oz. bottle twice. The first time, I was blown away, calling it the Heady Topper of Queens. The second time, I was underwhelmed. I had remembered a more hazy orange color like that of the Hill Farmstead's, but this was a deeper, darker orange. Taste didn't disguise the alcohol as well as I remembered.

I think perhaps SingleCut struggles with consistency, as I got a borderline undrinkable bottle of Bon Bon 2X, but loved everything I had at the brewery itself.

Poured from a bottle filled at the brewery.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a 1-finger white head. Good retention and lacing.

Aroma has lots of grapefruit and mango with a touch of sweet pineapple. Very sweet and tropical.

Taste brings a lot of papaya, along with some grapefruit and sweet mango and pineapple. A touch of bitter pine on the end.

The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Extremely smooth and creamy. Slightly dry and subtly bitter on the end of each sip.

Overall, a fantastic DIPA. Not a ton of balance but the flavor profile is excellent and the mouthfeel is as smooth and drinkable as it gets.

Awesome looking bottle!

Pours a brown almost apple cider color. Very raw flavor, overripe grapefruit with hints of pink. Underlying tobacco and tea. Very dank (almost swamp-like?).

L: Bright orange, slightly hazy. Pours a nice off white head.
S: Dank, citrus, pine, and tropical fruit.
T: Sweet, very fruity, some papaya, mango, orange. Very well rounded bitterness, not sharp.
F: Smooth, creamy, and rich. Not astrigent.
O: Very solid, on par with Treehouse in many aspects.

16.9 oz bottle poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass.

Appearance
Hazed-out golden blonde with 1 finger of creamy off-white head.

Nose
Pineapple, papaya, lemon meringue, orange creamsicle, dank, honey, and candy sugar.

Taste
Musky papaya, dank, and slight pineapple juice. Overripe mango, caramel, and honey. Tangerine juice, with hints of lemon meringue. Light pine resin sticks on the finish.

Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, smooth, soft, juicy, and off-dry with a medium-light bitterness.

Overall
Overripe tropical juiciness, orange citrus, and dankness. Great stuff.

Cloudy, pale look with thin white foam. Aroma moderate, tropical fruit over citrus. Taste is very smooth, soft but noticeable hops supported by just right malt; I really like 2IPAs in the low-mid 8s (ABV) for that not-too-sweet taste. Feel/body near perfect.

Cloudy yellow-orange with a grayish hue and a finger of dense white head that leaves behind blanket lacing. Grapefruit bomb aroma giving way to pineapple and the slightest peppery notes. Interesting taste: pineapple, papaya, biscuity butterscotch-and-caramel malt, grapefruit rind, hop bitterness and modest alcohol burn. Very juicy, but with West coast bitterness behind. Heavy bodied for the style, with an almost pulpy, prickly feel. It's not the pinnacle of balance, but a great beer nonetheless.

L - pours a shockingly dark amber brown. Mostly translucent with a hint of haze. Thick foamy head. Looks tasty.

S - huge initial blast of wheaty orange and coriander. Some pine pokes threw toward the end.

T - sweet candied orange. Starts mellow and inviting... deceptive! Then the dank pine bursts in. Earthy, grassy, floral, juicy, and fresh. The coriander reminds me of Steady Habit in CT.

F - sticky and light. Creamy carbonation packed in, helped to be concise from the alcohol.

O - first time I got to sit down and truly appreciate SingleCut. Love the juice.

Billy Full Stack Double IPA is yet another winner from SingleCut. I started out reviewing beers never thinking I would find one brewery that would blow my mind every time.

L: hazy golden peach in color, quick head, with fine lacing
S: Citrus and pine upfront, brown sugar hints
T: Unbelievable fruit forward, tropical if not sunny florida citrus
F: Heavy double weight, full explosive on all parts of the taste spectrum. Bitter hops, malty, dank, sweetness. Almost too good to be true
O: A standard in American Double

Though Bon Bon delivered a slightly more unique experience, Billy Full Stack pars with all great beers in this category. Not elusively hard to find, which puts it far above trendy stand in line delivery day beers. Make beer available, not hard to find.

This is a world class beer.

Poured on draft at taproom.

A: Sunshine yellow with 2 finger dense white head. Lasting retention and heavy lacing.

S: Pineapple, grapefruit, and mango with dank floral and piney hops.

T: Light citrus, dank hops with floral and earthy notes. Alcohol is extremely well hidden and sneaks up on you.

M: Medium body with average carbonation. Smooth and easy drinking.

O: Outstanding IPA. Very well done.

16.9 oz bottle served in a pint glass
Light gold and slightly hazy in the glass, a quick pour yields a couple fingers of white bubbles that fall fairly quickly. This has an incredible aroma that is a mix of pine, citrus, sweet caramel and floral hop there are so many layers that repeated sniffs always seem to uncover some different aspect of this beer. The taste follows the aroma with a full on hit of hops up front with all of those different flavors rolled together this is combined with a strong bitterness that tingles nicely but is balanced by a fantastic juicy sweetness that keeps the hops from running wild. Low carbonation and the previously mentioned sticky sweetness provide a full character to this beer that has a finish that is just a bit on the hoppy or bitter side which is something considering how hard the hops hit after taking a sip. This is an amazing DIPA with great flavor, aroma, and balance, it's definitely one I'd love to have again.

Holy mackerel, this beer did such an over deliver on its taste. It's better, way better, than Heady Topper. I randomly picked one up at my local brew shop. I poured it, and it was piney, like walking through a pine forest in spring, and the taste was like sipping my own tea brewed with juniper and pine needles. The hops just plowed right through my tongue to the back of my mouth, sitting on the upper palette. So nice. So smooth, so funky.

650 mL bottle. Murky orange. More dark than bright. Smell is intense. Citrus, but more dank and piney. Sugary smell, too. Tastes of grain and bright citrus up front. Then it becomes more piney and dank. Boozy, too. Pretty sweet. This is intense.

L: Gold to orange body with a thickish foamy white head that leaves a lot of circular lacing.
S: Lot happening in the aroma, so allow me to list everything I pick up: sweet malts, meyer lemon, pine, pineapple, underripe stone fruits. This collision of smells are never in conflict and are sometimes nuanced or not even noticeable. Smelling this beer is my favorite part of the experience.
T: Excellent flavor profile that mixes citrus, resin and an awesome integration of tropical fruits.
F: Maybe a touch sweet for some drinkers, but i think the juiciness and hop bite really make an excellently balanced beer. The body is just a tiny bit thing for a DIPA, but I'm not complaining because it still keeps the 8.2% in check.
O: SingleCut making it's way to CT has been wonderful. These guys were barely on my radar last year and now I am a huge fan. This beer fit's right in their portfolio of interesting, juicy ales. World class for sure.

500ml bottle poured into a tulip.

a: A dried apricot orange hazy body with a pillowy 1 1/2 finger white head.

s: Dank and piney with citrus rind and pineapple. I slight aroma of orange at the end.

t: The taste follows the nose but with more fresh pineapple and citrus. The dankness takes a back seat and eventually the crisp and clean malts show their stuff.

mf: Medium body with good carbonation. Creamy body with a wonderfully dry finish in which the alcohol peeks through.

o: An IPA that is actually a beer. This is a IPA that goes head to head with juice beers. Wonderfully balanced in its hop profile and also balanced regarding the malts. There are just enough to back up the hops.

A: lemon honey tea like appearance with a one finger head that leaves some nice lacing
S: A lot of citrus upfront, orange-grapefruit, with some tropical mango-pineapple to mellow it with a bit of herbs and pine at the end
T: follows nose, citrusy and dank and mellows out with a bit of sweet malt and ends a bit dry, not very bitter at all, very balanced, hides the alcohol very well, super drinkable
F: Medium bodied with medium carbonation
O:Really great DIPA. Very balanced with a solid amount of tropical and citrus flavor and aroma that hides the alcohol well. Really drinkable finished my bomber pretty fast. Definitely would get it again.

perhaps a shade behind the shuggie, but every bit as well made, and a nice step up form the half stack. this is the only single cut beer i got to have in the bottle, and i like the way it pours a lot. hazy but not quite as rugged and dirty looking as the vermont stuff, but on its way. bright yellow, clearly no medium crystal caramel type grains in here, which i like in a double ipa, these can get heavy and sweet in a hurry, but not this one. its got a wonderful fresh cut pineapple hoppy nose through its inch of lingering white foam. green melon, lemon, and orange zest also waft in, and there is no trace at all of the 138 IBUs the label declares, or whatever it is. the flavor is similarly devoid of this proclaimed bitterness, but i dont mind a lick, none of us do. its plenty full bodied which i like, well carbonated, dry for the style, and smooth, almost creamy, really beautiful there in the feel. maybe a little less fruity in the taste, hops are green and leafy and probably whole cone, it has that plant matter thing going on, with tropical undertones and plenty of citrus to finish. i like the smaller bomber format, and i like the label, but i love the beer inside. these guys can in good faith add their names to the list of best hoppy beer producers on the east coast. every one i had of theirs i loved, and this is well worth seeking out. yummy and distinct!

This is a damn good beer juicy dank fruity DIPA.
I'd suggest this over any other half offering definitely up there with Grimm DIPAs and exceeds some of the others from This region

16.9oz bottle poured into a Teku glass
A: Hazy light orange with a one-finger head
S: Lots of tropical fruits. Mango, papaya, pineapple followed by orange and a hint of dry earth
T: The palate is quite dry and quite bitter with citrus rind up front this time with a tropical fruit mid-palate and a dry earthy finish. Different from the nose, very layered
M: Medium-bodied, bitter and dry
O: The notes are pure across the board though I think I'd prefer it more if the tropical fruit were more prevalent and it was a bit less bitter/dry on the palate
