Poured from a 16.9 oz bottle into a Teku glass. Looks like a 10-5 bottle date.

Appearance: Clear golden orange body with a full finger's worth of fluffy white head. Minimal amount of lacing left in the glass.

Aroma: Tropical fruit, onion, grapefruit and bready malts on the end.

Taste: Follows through with the aroma. Tropical fruits, grapefruit, citrus, pine and spicy almost pepper like bite.

Mouthfeel: Nice full mouthfeel, minimal lingering bitterness. Not a hint of the 8%+ abv in this one.

Overall: Wow, this is what you want from a IIPA! Hoppy, malt sweetness, bitterness all meld together into one cohesive beer. Really tasty beer.

Thanks to Sammyjaxxxx for this one!

Poured into Kane snifter

L- golden, slight haze, full 1 inch head......medium retention......thick lacing

S-smells like a bag of hop pellets...........sweet fruity hops, orange cream, tropical fruits, stone fruits, grapefruit, slight spiciness

T-nice balance between malts and hops as they battle for taste bud attention......sweet tropical hops, grapefruit, some slight pine and rind in the finish which provides a slight bitter finish.......

F-creamy MF.......mild carbonation....soft, medium body.....good balance between sweet malts and tropical hops with slight piney, dank, bitter hops

O-happy to try it..would buy it again......solid offering

In tap.

More of a traditional dipa or west coast. Golden color. White head with lace.

Fairly dank and weedy. Light grapefruit. Some floral notes and bready malts. A touch of bitterness.

Very straightforward and solid dipa. I dig it for not being a haze bomb.

On-tap at Smoke and Barrel - Washington, DC

Keg less than 2 weeks old.

Look: Pours a hop hazed light orange. Not turbid or milky, but not see through. Does let some light through. Great fluffy white head. Sheets of lacing with great retention as well.

Smell: Big, citrusy nose. Bright orange citrus juice and peel. Grapefruit, pineapple. Hints of pale, sweet grain and a bit of white table sugar. Definitely a dank/resiny side as well.

Taste: Excellent as well. Very well constructed. A touch too much pale malt/table sugar sweetness that holds up massive hop flavors and aromas. Grapefruit, pineapple, orange citrus are prominent. The green/resin/dank side comes through as well but takes a backseat. Aggressive, but balanced and well-integrated. Perceived bitterness is surprisingly subdued.

Feel: The mouthfeel is really well done here. Creamy and coating, but with enough bitterness and carbonation to not be cloying. Mid-palate is creamy and soft before drying out on the finish with some a bit of resiny, citrusy bitterness remaining.

Overall: This is a really well done DIPA. Supremely well put together and maintains a sense of balance. Maybe a touch too sweet for me, but that's nitpicking. I'd be happy to drink this beer anytime.

Poured a cloudy copper gold color in the Spiegelau glass with a three finger head.

Good citrus aroma with malt. Earthy. I was expecting a stronger aroma, but it was very good.

MF is excellent. Very tangy and pungent, spicy. As another reviewer stated- this beer sneaks up on you with a spicy hoppiness.

Taste is great. Citrus, pine, earthy, and I especially like the finish: I can taste pine and citrus on the back of my tongue.

Singlecut brews excellent beers. I would have preferred a stronger aroma. Perhaps the next bottle will have a better aroma. Otherwise, the MF, taste and finish are first rate.

Review competed from notes. Served a 6 oz sample at the Griffon Gastropub in Niagara Falls, NY.

Appearance - clear and pale amber color leaning towards gold, lots of lacing and good clarity with just a little haze.

Smell - tropical all the way with more pineapple than I've experienced in virtually every IPA I've ever had. Fantastic and appetizing.

Taste - pineapple, juicy, some pine resin. Plenty of bitterness, but dialled in just enough to let the pineapple shine. A little boozy.

Mouthfeel - smooth and slick with a. Slightly syrupy body. Modest carbonation. What's hard to describe is the brilliant interplay between the feel and the taste, everything is just so right.

Overall - yeah, these guys have done it again. Three IPA's I've had three excellent ratings. This is probably the best of the bunch. World class all the way and I'm left wishing I'd had a full pint. Damn good stuff.

Wow, this is an amazing IIPA,one of the best I've had! This double holds its own with some of the greats from Vermont. This beer should be had by all, try it if you get the chance, then try it again!
