Tasted in a Spiegelau wheat glass from a one pint can on July 29, 2019. Sweet citrus, delicate flowery herbal and complex spice aromas and flavors. Smooth soft light malt, finishes very dry and clean with an orange tang and some soft herbal complexity.

Undated can; drank 8/18/19 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy dandelion appearance.
A rough pour yielded a HUGE, noisy bright white head; thick, frothy lace.
Soap & mild pine notes in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Soap, pine & candle wax flavors up front; mild banana notes on the finish.
If you ever wanted to lick a bar of soap, have I got a beer for you...

Welcome back to my Happy CAN A New Singlecut Be All The Beer That It Takes To Make Me Happy On A Sunday (Week 724)?!? It is to be a CANcerted effort to drink, review and rate some beers in the furtherance of The CANQuest (tm) while also taking part in NBS. As always, thoughts & opinions expressed are not necessarily my own. Stamp help out!
From the CAN: "Rulpsen says: 'Come visit our brewery!"; "SingleCut Beersmiths is proud to maintain the American tradition of beer locally made from craft by zealots/lunatics who believe hard work, truth, pride and passion should always come before profit."
I Crack!ed open the vent & gave it a C-Line Glug to produce just over a finger of foamy, fizzy, soapy, bone-white head with limited retention. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose was interesting with a breadiness that was joined by a soft spiciness. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium, but very soft in the mouth & on the tongue. The taste was interesting, like a lightly spiced simple lager. It was not as spicy as its Witbier counterparts, but this worked to its advantage, IMO. If it is to be reviewed as a Lager, then it should bear at least a passing resemblance to a Lager & it managed to maintain its breadiness throughout in spite of having spices as adjuncts. Finish was dry, which is to be expected when spices are involved. This was an interesting interpretation of the style.

Appearance: Arrives with a golden color and a frothy head that fades quickly; not much lacing action
Smell: Orange and citrusy, with bready, herbal tones
Taste: Wheat bread flavor, up front, with both the grain and slightly tart tones; orange and other citrus flavors with a subtle herbal character; bready flavors return in the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Decent but not particularly memorable, particularly when contrasted with the brewery's other beers

On draft at Black Bear, Mineola, NY.
Poured a hazy straw hue with a two finger foamy white head. There was very good retention and lacing.
The smell featured moderate esters.
The taste was likewise estery with a grainy pane malt and herbal hop.
The mouthfeel was full for the style.
Overall an interesting take on a wit. Light and refreshing.

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Hazed golden pour with massive fluffy white head. Great retention and lacing.
S: Yeast and citrus... wheat, lemon, and spice.
T/F: Follows the nose. Grains/wheat with a yeasty Witbier flavor. Nice lemon... mild spice... some sweetness followed by bittering hops. Well balanced... super drinkable.
O: An outstanding Witbier. A hard style to make exciting/interesting but Singlecut pulls it off here. Recommended.

A: The beer is rather hazy pale yellow in color. It poured with a thin layer of white bubbles covering the surface.
S: Light aromas of orange peels are present in the nose along with notes of corn.
T: The taste follows the smell and starts off with some aromas of corn and finishes with hints of orange peels and spices.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This lager tastes like a refined version of a lawnmower beer and has some interesting aromas and spices of orange zest and spices.

The beer comes in a cloudy gold color.
The aroma is fresh and spicy with pepper and coriander, herby and wheat.
The flavor follows with a wheat and biscuit breadiness, but also spice with the pepper.
It's an interesting drinking beer. It's for those who like spicy wheat beers. Mouthfeel is light, but the flavor makes up for that.

The can I bought says Jan Alpine White Lager. From the website: “THE OLFACTORY IS working overtime, noting the distinct sweet citrus, delicate flowery herbal and complex citrus spice aromas and flavors of this lager. Smooth soft light malt, finishes very dry and clean with an orange zest bitterness. Perhaps our ultimate patio brew. ABV: 5.2%”. Nice beer
