Style: Berliner Weissbier

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 4.20%

Availability: Summer

Notes / Commercial Description:
It’s hot baby, we needed to do something - so a sour lagrr! infused with hibiscus (and black currants, but who’s counting) seemed like something that would help beat the heat.

While I like the hibiscus, the sour funk in this one is not for me

Poured from a bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Clear golden pink pour with 2 fingers of foamy white head. Solid lacing.

S: Tart and funky... lemon, hibiscus, and fruit.

T/F: Overly sour... good flavors, but overwhelmed by the pucker. Lemon and hibiscus... under-ripened/green fruit. Mild funk. Definitely gets the salivary glands going. Light in body and more carbonation than expected.

O: Smells great but a good bit too sour to be easily drinkable. Solid flavor but over the top. Not one I'd pick up again.

Had on draft a few years back in the taproom.

This review is from the recent mass production and distribution of KIM bottles.

Very average and off putting. Not much flavor or balance.

Very weak in both color and mouthfeel.

Seems watered down compared to when I tried it in the taproom, way back when.

Certainly not worth the $.50 per ounce for the cost of the bottles.

I'm usually a huge fan of Singlecut products, but this one in mass distribution is very subpar for the price point.

This should be more like $11.99 for a six pack.

I fear that Singlecut is misusing their namesake to cash in on inferior quality products.

$5 for a 16 ounce pour at St. Gambrinus during Happy Hour. Actually the wife ordered it but I commandeered most of it.

It looked hazy and pinkish to me. Probably more orange that pink but pink nonetheless. The bubbles from the carbonation ran the length of the pint glass. Not much of a head.

The taste was sour, apple juice, something else tart maybe lemon zest. A touch buttery with a fruity finish. Very highly carbonated but drinkable for the summer. I didn't really find the hibiscus flower in this.

A subtle fruity flavor. Nice sour but a little flat for my likening. Pours with a light pink color.
