This beer looks fine to me. Nothing terribly special. You can really smell the mango, and sipping this smooth DIPA packs a fruity punch as well. I cant get over how smooth this goes down with how high the ABV is. Overall one I will definitely continue to grab from the store from time to time.

16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Canned 4/21/20, had 6/15/20. Replaces rating only from 2014.

Pours a bright orange color, somewhat cloudy at the pour but fairly clear later, with a one and a half inch foamy head with great retention and a decent amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of mango, grapefruit, pineapple, light lemon, some malt, a sweet honey- like aroma, some pine as it warms. Flavors of mango, pineapple, some grapefruit, light lemon, malt, light pine, a little bit of a sweet note- sugary, but not as sweet as it smelled. Has a good amount of hop bitterness midway through the finish. Smooth, semi dry, a very good lighter body, well carbonated.

Really good, with lots of mango, lots of good citrus hops. The flavor is very good, but not quite as good as I remember it. But six years is a long time in the beer world, so I might be all wrong. Well executed and very enjoyable. Well worth a purchase when it comes around.

Very dark orange coppery body, slightly hazy and barely translucent. Very good head production and lacing; decent retention.

Sharp hoppy nose, with bright citrus hop tones, pineapple, papaya, honey, and of course mango.

Really tasty! Nicely balanced, with strong bitterness and restrained mango presence. It's juicy, but the mango complements the hops, instead of taking over as a sour fruited IPA. No hint of the sky high ABV.

22 oz. bottle, handwritten Batch #409 on the label. Acquired a bottle of this stuff from the local Binny's.

Poured into a Duvel tulip snifter.

A - Pours very juicy golden orange, literally looks like a glass of pulpy orange nectar. Finger of frothy wispy white head that dies out. Scattered spotty lacing.

S - Aroma is soft at times, but when given a nice swirl it conjures huge huge huge mouthwatering citrus smack: orange juice, pulp, citrus peel, lemon, grapefruit rind, juicy piney hops. Very nice, but it could stand to be a bit more in-your-face.

T - Very crisp & juicy; tons of huge juicy authentic mango puree goodness on this one. Zesty orange / lemon / tangerine, grapefruit, pine, pineapple. Major citrus bomb, for damn sure. Mango doesn't distinctly come to mind, but it's very juicy, citric, and tropical. Literally tastes like it had orange juice poured into it.

M - Feel is smooth & juicy, tart & citric, with crisp carbonation. Medium-bodied, supremely easy drinking for the high 9.20% abv.

Overall, an excellent DIPA from Spiteful; one of the best i've tried from these guys yet. Glad i was able to grab a bottle, very recommended.

Pours a gorgeous and hazy sunburst orange with a half finger of off-white foam that dissipates quickly.

Pungent aroma of mango, melon, pineapple, and other tropical fruit notes. Lemony and orange citrusy notes are also apparent.

Flavor doesn't match aroma to the T, but still offers a pleasant juicy tropical fruit hop flavor.

Medium-bodied, low-medium carbonation, juicy tropical fruit.

Overall, if you have a chance to grab one of these do it. Needs some tweaks in the flavor department but is an absolutely solid, juicy DIPA.

(May 2016 release - on draught.)

Poured a hazy opaque mango orange color. Thin off-white head, bit it stuck around. Smell was mango forward with some undertones of grapefruits and citrus rind. Nice smell. Taste was a nice balance of showcasing the mango but not tasting like it was brewed with mango syrup. Not sweet at all. In fact, the beer borders on being very bitter, and perhaps a touch of sweetness could have balanced the bitterness out. Feel was spot on, smooth, drinkable (even taking the bitterness into account this beer is really drinkable) and very tasty.

Really nice offering from Spiteful. Could use a couple tweaks, but its still a nice beer.
