22oz bomber poured into a snifter. Batch number 7, should be at least a year old as its been sitting in my beer fridge for sometime.

A- Pours a deep black as expected, a very small amount of khaki head quickly fades. Not much carbonation to speak of on the pour either.

S- Roasty malts and along with some chocolate and espresso on the nose. The chocolate gets more apparent as the beer warms.

T- Roasty malts that began the aroma begin the taste as hell. After that I get some hop bittering notes before tastes of chocolate along with coffee.

M- Medium bodied, low carbonation, easy drinking stout.

This is a nice lighter stout (if there's such a thing.) Easy to drink with some nice hop presence on the end of each taste even after aging a year.

Picked up a 22 oz. bottle at Vas Foremost Liquors in Chicago back in early September, minutes after leaving Revolution Brewing across the street and just before heading to ORD for our flight home. Batch #21 scrawled on the label. Opened on the Oregon Coast, at our little cabin getaway weekend near Cannon Beach; poured to two pint glasses during an epic Yahtzee game with my wife.

Label: A one-eyed, tattered teddy bear flipping the bird. The "G.F.Y." message (vaguely detailed in text on the side label) is directed at someone/something --- although I'm unsure who/what.

A: Really dark, virtually black. Head is subdued, vaguely tan, dense. Modest sticking lace.

S: Sweeter 'fudge' aroma, deeper berry sweet-funk. Earthy, coffee, sooty.

T: Deep chocolate/coffee bean throughout. Bitter roast, then a sweeter turn. A little licorice, mild spicing.

M: Alcohol is pretty well concealed. Modest/low carbonation - but that may be the "aging" (4 months since purchase (refrigerated ever since) but no idea when "Batch #21" was created). The end result is smooth and silky, good coating, medium/full body and large lingering flavors.

O: Likable and a good sipping beer. Spiteful has created a solid stout with strong aroma and flavor. Would I have this again? I'd love to...
