Poured from the can a clear yellow colour. Aromas of citrus, hops, lemon and grapefruit. Like the title says, this is a 'session IPA.' Flavours are mild, making this a sessionable ale. Citrus hops and light malts are well balanced, with the malt back fading away with only a smooth hop body left to finish it out.

Would I buy this beer again? Yes.

A 330ml can with a BB of Feb 2015. Acquired a little while back from Trembling Madness in York. Described as a session IPA; I love the bizarre artwork.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip. A hazy golden hue with fine sediment and medium carbonation. Produces a massive head of creamy white foam with good retention; this slowly reduces to a thick surface layer. Nice lacing.

S: Aroma of bountiful fruitiness with hints of grapefruit, lime, citrus, white grape, mild melon, tropical fruits, subtle grass, light malt and earthy yeast. Delicious.

T: Tastes of wonderfully fruity aromatic hops with a crisp, bitter finish. Notes of grapefruit, orange peel, lime, citrus, white grape, melon, tropical fruits, grass/hay, subtle grainy malt, earthy yeast and mild stewed hops. Well-attenuated, followed by a stinging hop-driven bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with pleasant carbonation and decent body. Hop oils tantalise the palate. Somewhat astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of citrus, bitter aromatic hops, earthy yeast and faint malt.

O: Fantastic - an amazingly hoppy brew that goes down a treat. Looks lovely, while the aroma and flavour are superb. Lashings of citrus and fruity hop notes backed up by subtle malt and yeast. Good body; perhaps a shade too thin. Wonderful, and demonstrates that IPAs don't have to be herculean in strength to deliver. An excellent brew - don't pass it up if you have the chance to try it.

I tried the Neck Oil at the Pink Moon Saloon in Adelaide. I didn't have time to write a review on the spot. From what I remember I thought it was pretty good. Poured a golden clear with white head. The scent had some citrus notes. The taste was decently balanced. Overall its worth a shot.

One of the better session IPAs I've had, which is no small feat based on my suspicion of the style. Big old citric nose, and a tangy hoppy palate. Easily compares with the best American versions of the style.

A very "polite" IPA. The nose is clearly a classic American IPA, and the foam is very thick. But it's not very pungent, it's subtle. So you tick all the IPA boxes (citrus, tropical fruits etc...). The taste is weird. You feel like it's an IPA, but again, it's not very powerful. The carbonation is strange. With the dryness, it feels like you're drinking Perrier, not beer. It's quite malty (bread) but the finish comes back to the citrus, and is definitely the best thing in this, as it lasts for a very long time. I'm not sure I would have this one again, it just feels odd, like it's not balanced properly. It feels like they didn't really decided to go for strong malts or strong hops (either in quantity or type) and just compromised on each. But it makes me wanna try one of their stronger IPAs to see what they can do when they don't pull out their punches.

Pours orange with a large lasting head.
Nose shows lychee and passion fruit along with herbal and earthy hops.
Some clean malt in there too.
More lychee as a flavours followed by bready malt and herbal, earthy hops. Finishes with a bold bitterness.
