Can. Very dark brown. Thick tan head.
Chocolate, cocoa and a light peat aroma.
The smokiness comes through upon tasting. Charcoal bitterness at the finish.
Decent carbonation and relatively smooth. Nicely balanced.
I am not partial to smoked ale but this is decent.

Pours a pitch black coloration with a small, fizzy head. Smells of roasted malt chocolate and smoke, with hints of coffee and tobacco. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by roasted malt, chocolate and smoke, with hints of tobacco and licorice. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and more smoke coming through. Smooth mouthfeel with a light/medium body and low carbonation. This comes with a quite well-balanced smokiness that is not too overpowering and leaves room for the other notes of chocolate, coffee and other subtle nuances. Very nice smoked Porter.

A nice porter with a beatiful color, a not too persistent brown fosm and good taste: bread, hop, malt and a pleasant smoked hint. Smoke is found in smell also, as you would expect. The body is well balanced: it's just 5,4 but seems stronger. I enjoyed it while reading a book and it was an excellent meditation companion

Can into tulip.

Bought this out of curiosity and was prepared to dislike it. Actually pleasantly surprised. A medium bodied and flavoured porter; the smoke is extremely subtle, I for one can't detect it on the nose, just a faint ash note on the tail end of the palate.

Not bad at all

A: poured from a 330 mL can into a pint glass, dark brown almost black with a huge gray head that lingers leaving good lacing, clear

S: heavy smoke, lots of malt, slight coffee

T: dark bread, tons of smoke, barbecue, nice hop bitterness on the finish

M: medium body

O: nice smoke flavor and emphasis on malt

Beavertown – Smog Rocket
Smoked Porter – 5.4% - 330ml can - Best before 14.10.16

Appearance: Pours jet black as one would would expect f the style. Big tan coloured head that dissapated fairly quickly. Tiny, slow moving bubbles rising up sides of glass.

Aroma: Coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts. Classic porter/stout aromas.

Taste: Lots of coffee flavours upfront followed by bitter roasted malt in the middle and finish. Lots of burnt, smokey flavour.

Mouth feel: Light - medium body, dry finish.

Overall: Good if your into this kind of thing I expect, porters and stouts are not really my thing though. So personally, I wouldn't buy this again.
