This beer definitely seems still available. I bought it in Celle germany. It is possible though that this is just one of the remaining bottles.

Beer is more bitter than your average dunkel. Nose of hops and it has somewhat of a mineral taste to it. Not much in the way of wheat is palatable. I was not too impressed, there are a number of dunkels out there that can put this to shame.

A: Pours brown with reddish hues. The large tan compact head dissipates into decent lacings.

S: Grass, nettles and honey sweetness. Harsh and artificial. Roasted dark malts. Some bitter hops.

T: Honey sweetness to the dark roasted malts, but also a dryness from the bitter hops - rahter well-balanced.

M: Long bitter and slightly roasted aftertaste. Body is kind of thin and watery while carbonation is held back.

O: A pretty standard Dunkel Lager, the smell was the weakest link...

I was noy impressed with this beer. It is a dark beer but one of the lesser one's in Germany. I bought it in Germany some months ago so i think this beer is still available....

Poured in a Dutch beerglass this beer looks like a brown fluid with some head, no more and no less.

Unpleasant smell, not inviting cause i smell vomit!

Beer has a very watery taste with lots of sweetness. What went wrong with this beer?

330 ml fliptop / swingtop bottle, bought in Germany. Copper coloured, large and lasting offwhite head, nice lacing. Pleasant malty, slightly roasty and caramel aroma, notes of rye bread, some aromatic hops too. Flavour is reasonably malty and slightly roasty, hints of smoke and caramel. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Allegedly this beer is brewed according to an authentic 16th century "Braunbier" recipe (those were most likely top fermented, though - this one is bottom fermented) - at any rate it is well worth sampling!
