Damn you Scuba Steve! Our staple IPA. It has tons of Simcoe, crystal, mosaic and El Dorado hops to give it citrusy, earthy, and tropical tones.

On tap at Black Bottle. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, caramel and pine. It tasted of toasted caramel, citrus fruits and a piney bitterness.

Clear, medium amber body; okay carbonation; thin, white head. Not much aroma; malt grain notes with a bare touch of hop notes, mostly earthy spiciness. Great taste; malt-forward with a deft presence of zesty, earthy hop spiciness and bitterness. Medium-heavy body; full, rounded mouthfeel.

A pleasant, unassuming India pale. It strikes me as a cross between an English style IPA and an early west coast style.

I love this beer! Perfect balance of flavors and ingredients. Packs a punch if you're not prepared for it, but is so worth it! I've been excited to have found it in a couple of liquor stores in the Arvada area too, so I don't have to all the way to FoCo to get it. I really enjoy the way Scuba Steve pairs with food as well.

Smell: subtle pine/citrus aroma

Taste: forward hop notes with an excellent pine/mild grapefruit aftertaste.

Mouth feel: reasonable carbonation with a well blended overall profile.

Definitely drinkable with a nice pine citrus experience.

L: Slightly Hazy golden copper color with a small head and nice lacing on the glass.

S: Earthy Piney hops with a floral background note. Toasted malt in the background.

T: Earthy dominate and a very light bitterness. Not very complex for an IPA.

F: Light body and medium carbonation.

O: This isn't a very special IPA.
