Got this at the Duvel guy down the road.

From a bottle into a snifter
EBC: 65
EBU: 60

APPEARANCE: Pours a two finger, looser, fizzy, foamy, off-white head with decent retention. Head looks like Swiss cheese. Clear rust in color with higher levels of carbonation. Foamy head recedes to a full foam cap with bubbles. A slight foamy wisp remains leaving touches of lacing down the glass. Lousy, fizzy, Swiss-cheese head.

SMELL: Grainy, bready malts, some spicy cloves, pepper, light caramel and some floral hop notes. Dried fruits as well. Bold enough.

TASTE: Caramel sweetness, dark bread and floral hops up front. Bolder and lingering finish of grainy bread, spicy clove and pepper with floral hops and a touch of alcohol. Sweet grainy malt lingers with some hop bitterness as balance. Some nice hop flavor, but a bit too grainy for my tastes.

PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Creamy enough, goes down okay with a bit of a burn and finishes semi-dry on the palate. A bit of spicy alcohol lingers with a burn.

OVERALL: This is okay. Quite sweet and a good dose of spicy flavor here. Expected more hop character given that the label said "hop hop hop," but that wasn't the case. Lousy head and a bit harsh as well. The spicy flavor screamed heart burn on this one, so I didn't bother to finish it. I wonder what kind of yeast is involved here. A good beer but nothing special.

On tap at Dorst Festival. Hazy orange with a fine white head. Grapefruit, blood oranges, pineapple, passion fruit and malt sugar. Medium bodied with low carbonation and a sticky sweet aftertaste.

Indeed, pine needles and citrus aromas also come to talk pine needles and citrus upwards but the flavors are not surprising layered loose as a dryhop belonged, but tasty bitterhoppig

330ml bottle, poured into Kasteel chalice.

A: Fairly pale shade of amber, initial two finger thickhead, faded gradually while leaving a decent amount of lacing, fairly hazy.

S: Initially thearoma wasn’t overly pronounced, some citrus fruits put me in mind of a commercial American Pale Ale, however the grapefruit got more and more prominent.

T: Wheat, lime, citrus, grapefruit and gummibears, good amount of bitterness but didn’t over do things.

M: Crisp, decent amount of carbonation, medium body.

O: Kept everything balanced, was the first beer for a while that really
made me sit up and take notice.

Hazy orange with a full head of foam. Lots of pine in the smell, with notes of malt, honey and caramel. The taste is also quite piney, with the caramel adding some not unpleasant sweetness. The swallowing adds a hint of lemon zest. Mouth feel is medium to full bodied and quite easy to drink, though beers like this make me wonder if the relatively high abv is actually required here.
