A birthday gift from duffextracold

Dark orange squash color with a frothy head. Nearly opaque despite my careful decanting. Dank orange and grapefruit aroma that melds into a citrus hard candy aroma once the malt wakes up a bit. Tastes like it smells: grapefruit juice with some sharp pine the back nearly overpowered by sweet, sweet liquid candy malt. Flirts with cloying. Mild bitter for a DIPA.

It hits all the necessary marks but doesn't overachieve in any particular area. I'd like to see the sweetness toned down a bit.

Split with my dad whom is neither a maiden for fair.

I had this beer in the tasting room at Foley Brothers in Brandon.

The Fair Maiden is a dark golden orange, with fluffy white head.

The nose is is very pleasing, with a good amount of citrus and a bit of grass.

Taste is very smooth, with a satisfying slightly bitter finish.

This is my new favorite IIPA

Bought a bottle at Rutlands Farmers Market following the buzz. Probably one of the best doubles i've tried in a while. a lot of things going on in this great beer but they all blend smoothly in a very well balanced and sexy looking beer. Great aroma, great taste, great looks. Bravo guys!
