16 oz can poured into nonic pint.
A: Small right looking creamy white head that settles to a film. Body is a hazy light orange leaning toward gold.
S: lots of grass, lemon, and light cantaloupe with a solid malt and resin smell. Slightly floral.
T: lots of grass and light cantaloupe and a decent bit of bitterness. This beer has a clingy feel a little floral.
M: Medium bodied leaning toward full and lots of cling on the finish.
O: It’s an ok beer, surprised by the amount of bitterness. I wish the Citra hops came across as more fruity than grassy and floral.

A-Clear golden yellow with super white head that folds a solid substance
S-I suspect an older can, as the aroma is musty with the remnants of pine and citrus fruit
M-Somewhat watery body, medium carbonation and the semblance of what might have been a juicy mouthfeel, left searching for the right weight
T-Subtle and sweet upfront and on the aftertaste, with a smooth bitterness that does linger.
O-The date is not stamped on the can so I feel this was an older version and not a fair assessment. Will try to hunt down better soon…

This version has an ABV of 6.7% listed on the pint can label. The pour to empty it into a clear glass Imperial pint mug took effort because of the explosive volume of stark white foam. Unfortunately, a too common trait of modern American IPAs; nonetheless, this is absolutely among the worst offenders. The recession of the foam is certainly among the most uneven and unattractive of all. Once things begin to settle, the dull and hazy honey-amber color of the brew can be seen. Neither is this a treat to smell. All that's there is some sort of muddled citrusy, piney and slightly earthy hops. Things sure do improve with the taste. Although there's very little balance from the starch backbone, the two featured hops, Citra and Centennial certainly salvage this from all the negatives. They have the three characteristics detected by the nose, but they're not muddled and come boldly. Despite not providing much additional taste, the starches, probably oats in significant quantity, make the mouthfeel ample and smooth enough. Like the foam, the glass lacing is a sad thing to see. Even with the flaws, this is a very tasty AIPA.

Look: Hazy yellow with white foam head.
Smell: Lemon mainly, some alcohol, some grains.
Taste: Lemon and other citrus; some malted grain on the aftertaste.
Feel: Light and effervescent.
Overall: The hops have faded in this beer, slightly turned. Otherwise an OK beer.
