From a 16 oz. can acquired and tasted on Dec. 30, 2021.
The appearance tends to be orange-amber with a moderate haze and a lingering, lacing-leaving off-white head.
The aroma emits pine, citrus, guava perhaps, and toasted white bread. It also smells fairly fresh and clean.
Light-medium mouthfeel. Creamy.
The taste is at first sweet until all those biting hop sensations come in and take it over right up to the bitter end, Is it unique? Not in today's NEIPA society. Hopheads should delight.

Strong beer From a strong brewing company. Perfect balance of pine and malt. Not going down the same ole juice bomb. This is a really well done beer with a great alc of 6.8. I like what they have done and feel like Foley Bros are under appreciated

Pours bright orange gold with an off white head. Aroma is a weak citrus - a bit muted. Taste is citrus up front with a moderate bitterness taking over mid way through as the hop flavor fades. Malt is low but provides a nice sweetness. Crisp clean flavor with an unheavy feel.
Pretty good beer but too muted for my tastes. However there is really no fault to throw on it.

by GreesyFizeek from New York
On tap at Blackback Pub in Waterbury, VT.
This one pours a slightly hazy light gold, with a fluffy head, and a good bit of lacing.
This smells nicely resinous and piney, with sharp grapefruit, spicy hops, and lemon rind.
It's nice to have a more classically West Coast styled IPA out here to contrast with lots of the juice bombs. This has a killer dryness to it- fruit rind and pine resin, and just a general spicy character all make me happy. There's some lemon and grapefruit adding a bit of sweetness, and no real malt character poking through.
This is crisp, and super clean on the finish, with a zesty bitterness slightly lingering.
Foley is definitely a bit slept on, but they shouldn't be.

Earthy, resiny, dank. Bomber picked up at a local store, no dating. Foley gets distroed somewhat infrequently so have to assume it's pretty fresh. Big fan of Pieces of Eight so looking forward to this IPA.
Dark golden pour with a light one inch head that fades. Neither hazy nor clear - somewhere in between. Aroma is pine, resin, pakalolo and a spicy earthiness. Taste is pith, pine, grapefruit, resin, pepper. That earthiness lays beneath it all and creates a nice cascade of flavors. Moderate bitterness on the backend. Nicely carbonated and smooth throughout.

Moderate pour yields a one plus inch white head over a golden body with some sticky lacing. Nose of tropical fruit, citrus and a bit of dank pine. Taste follows with more of the same with a bitter citrus pith finish. Good feel and overall, I wouldn't turn this one down. Cheers!

From the older bottle, it pours a hazy amber with a nice head, eventually reducing to a thin layer. Lacing as you enjoy it. Malt and piney scents tickle the nose. The mouth gets some citrusy bitterness covering the malt. Yum!

Another great FB IPA. I like some of their other IPAs more, but one can beat this one either.

The appearance was a glossy almost burnt yellow to orange transparent color. Rings of lacing rim the sides of the glass. The smell takes on sweet and bitter pine. Light sweetly fresh cut grass accompanies with some sweet citrus. Has a light sweet dry lemon rind. The taste was mainly the same semi-sharp bitter citrus rolls into a dry citrusy aftertaste and sliding into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed to run good. Overall, as an AIPA, I’d say that this was pretty good. I’d have this again.

Thick, three-finger head. It settles slowly with a large center dome. Light gold color with a mild haze.
Fresh, crisp pale lager malt smell. The hop has a light touch, particularly for the style. A bit of green vegetable (and perhaps a hot pepper) to the nose as well.
The pale malt beginning is dry. The hop is missing until the swallow and it dominates the long aftertaste. The flavor has a prickly, weedy element. This is enhanced by the lack of sweetness. It also gives a richer feel to the brew. The carbonation is also muted.

Bomber poured into teku. A pretty, almost totally clear, golden color with a finger of pure white head that sticks around and leaves some lace. Aromas of peach nectar with just a hint of pine or resin. Taste is lovely with soft flavors of peach, apricot, pineapple, and again a hint of resin or pine. A delicious sweetness balanced out by a slightly bitter finish. Mouth feel is luscious, creamy, medium-body, ample carbonation. Overall, an exceptional single IPA.

A light gold color with minimal haze. Nice somewhat off white head. Definite grapefruit and bit of sweetness comes through on the nose. Grapefruit and pine comes through in the flavor along with a bit of booze and candied sweetness. Pretty full but some lingering bitterness.
