Brewed with family and friends from Hawaii, who brought us cocoa nibs, and freshly ground coffee from a special spot on Kauai. This Imperial Stout is fit for an Hawaiian King!!!

Pours a pitch black hue with a thin head into my glass. Rich, roasted coffee with a good dose of cocoa in the nose. Earthy coffee note gels with cocoa in the mouth. Thick and commanding, fills the mouth with a roasty punch. It's easy to miss the high abv. One should sip wisely and enjoy in a warm toasty environment.

From a 16 oz can sampled March 4, 2022.
Gorgeous pour that is brown with ruby red hues and a fading tan head.
Aroma of cocoa, cream, roasted malts, coffee, and earth. No booze
Medium or better mouthfeel. Smooth.
The taste is sweet and crackers with an element of cocoa, cream, and some coffee. No to low booze. No alcohol burn. Easy finish. What a delightful Impy Stout.

Appearance: Pours fudge colored with a one finger beige head; while the head fades to a film, it leaves dribbles of lacing all over
Smell: Roasty aromatics with chocolate, chalk and chicory tones
Taste: Roast and chocolate forward with the chalk and chicory flavors emerging, along with a touch of brewer's licorice sweetness
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation; some warmth in the gullet
Overall: A rather unusual flavor here that creates a very dry, roasty/chalky flavor; would like to taste more chocolate in the mix

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into a snifter. The beer has been in my cellar for a few weeks since a co-worker brought me the can after her trip to VT. No date stamp on the can.
The beer pours a rich dark coffee color with a fluffy beige head of 3.5 cm and almost overtops my glass. This foam recedes slowly and leaves scattered lattice on the glass as it fades. This foam remains as a sturdy surface layer throughout the tasting.
Aroma is rich and malty with some dark chocolate and a lot of black coffee. A little toasted grain note, but the coffee is dominant. No real hop character here and the booze is hidden too.
First sip reveals a medium body with soft rolling carbonation. The texture is smooth and silky, but it is a little thinner than I anticipated for a bigger imperial stout.
Flavor follows the nose with some general roasted notes and a bit of dark chocolate flavor. This rolls to a black coffee note and some charred notes. No real sweetness here and no hop character that I note. The ABV is hidden with no warmth on the beer at any point.
An easy drinker for a bigger beer. Good imperial stout, but not great, with the body had a little more "umph" to it!

An easy pour kept the dark tan frothy head from going over 1 finger, long lasting with ridges and blotches of lace. Deep dark brown opaque body (almost black) with deep amber-red highlights.
Strong smell of coffee and chocolate, malty rich roasted character in general. Toasted bread and multi grains without being 'grainy". Very low hop aroma.
Chocolate is 1st during the taste, neutral on the sweet/dry with mild bitterness from roasted malt. Coffee comes in a close 2nd with whole grain toasted bread and a hint of toasted wheat. Rich and bold malt flavors build until the somewhat quick finish. Malt taste lingers a while with roasted bitterness rising to average.
Full bodied with soft and abundant carbonation, a pleasure do drink or a leisurely sip. Alcohol is well hidden, smooth considering the ABV and tons of roasted malt.

A - Very dark brown pour that's
S - Has a laid back cocoa aroma with some delicate char.
T - Light cocoa sweetness with light coffee bean char bitterness lingering below in the mix.
M - Big body that's soft on the palate and leaves a sugary residue on the lips and has some oily character.
O - I like Foley Brothers (which is why I bought this). On the Stout spectrum it's decent but wouldn't buy it again. I like Foley Brothers but wish they would date stamp their product Is this can old ... new? Foley Brothers, you know what you're doing. Be proud of and respect your product.

Can to snifter. Lunch Share with DC.
Dark black, medium tan head. Good retention.
Roasty.
Oyster stout.
Dry.
Coffee adds a nice touch, but roasted barley is dominant in nose and flavor.
