This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a quickly dissipating finger’s worth of white foamy head. Thin spread out lacing clings around the glass nicely. The aroma starts off with sharp sweet mango, crisp sweet pineapple, and traces of dried pine needle. Bitter lemon rind comes in underneath for the balance. The flavor proceeds upon all of the previously mentioned aromas capturing the tropical fruits of it up front with a sweeter side controlling the bitterness. The aftertaste is the same and leaves fairly quick along with it’s finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation feels good. Bitterness units seem just harsh enough hitting my tongue appropriately. Overall, Foley Brothers always brewing up the great IPA’s. It’s what they do best.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Creamed top with a thick head appearance of easy three to four fingers in height. Clump, dumpy stick your finger in it you'll never get it back. Truly thick as a brick with off white color, this is just not budging at all. Base body has a simple pale amber, hints more towards lemon than amber tones, slightly hazed but with some noticeable carbonation. Controlled and not too crazy, which I like, in a great aggressive package.

Soft bodied hop with hints of floral and a nice almost taffy like malt sweetness hanging back as well for the aroma. Doesn't quite pull a punch but does have some distinction to it. Flirts a little bit with pickle like brine flavor on the nose too.

Palate gives distinction, but not too many surprises. Chewy rich body with leafy like hop bitterness, mixing with floral and tropical hinting qualities. Doesn't quite pack a punch but has nice soft perfume and light astringency on a chewy and delicate but full malt backbone. Mid palate giving to leafy herb, slight touching indistinct tropical fruit, and floral chewy hop flavors.

Very interesting beer, but doesn't quite get the wow factor, but delicious in its own right.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a tall head and lot of lacing.

Smells of dank piney hops and pineapple.

Tastes of malt and slightly bitter hops with some citrus and pineapple.

Light body and carbonation. Dry mouthfeel.

This is a very drinkable, mild mannered, lightly juicy west coast brew.

Poured from a 16 oz can; no date noted. Pours a light yellow with thick foamy head that slowly recedes and produces moderate lacing. Slightly sweet with decent hop bitterness. Solid; seek.

I’m a big Foley Bros fan, and no doubt this is quite good. But it’s not my fave of theirs; there’s a little bit of complexity lacking for me. All the flavors seem muted. It’s a fine B+ which in the larger world is fine but IMO Foley produces A/A+ beers above this one. Drinkable and glad I snagged this but don’t need to buy more.
