Glass Used: Snifter

Appearance: A straw colored, translucent body with a lasting thick head that disperses to a thin cap that covers the entire surface.

Smell: Dank, earthy, field onion, and some light citrus. The earthy-onion is quite powerful here. Not too bad.

Taste: Dank and earth come through big on the palate. A bit of fruitiness on the back end.

Mouthfeel: A bit thin and light.

Overall: Not a bad offering. I had this with some cheddar and it paired pretty well. Enhanced the flavors of the beer tremendously.

Poured from 12-ounce bottle into a TeKu. Very attractive pour, a nearly opaque bright yellow with a two-finger white head and decent retention and lacing. This has a solid malt structure while allowing the hops to predominate. Big flavors of orange, lemon, and grapefruit, with some light malt sweetness and a ton of zesty bitterness that lingers on the palate. Orange zest on the finish, with a little orange juicy sweetness on the aftertaste. This is seriously good stuff!

Look - slightly cloudy golden color with good creamy white head and skimming
Smell - straight galaxy hops so of course I love it!
Taste - tropical fruit with a good malt backbone
Feel - medium light body and carbonation
Overall - pretty good beer but lacking what I was expecting for taste and body

Poured from 12oz bottle into a dimpled mug.

Appearance: medium yellow hue with plenty of cloudiness. Head pours a finger of frothy white foam with OK retention. Not too bad.

Smell: slightly citrusy, slightly dank hops atop a moderately sweet malt base. Not terrible, but not especially outstanding.

Taste: sweet with some relatively bright and citrusy hops. Notes of pineapple and lemongrass. Hops are quite good, but the sweetness is bordering on cloying.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: this beer has a good hop flavor, but it's just too sweet and unbalanced to be supremely drinkable.

Had this in a snifter. Bottled 1/29/14.

A- Light golden body, with finger of creamy white foam, this IPA has good retention, some spotty lacing after the cap had died to a ring.

S- Raygun seeps out with aromas of dank, earthy, grapefruit-y hops. The bouquet exhibits mostly the dank profile however, and peach even makes its way out of the glass after a while..

T- The palate drinks very similarly to the nose, garlic-y dank hops with peachy notes and grapefruit. The finish includes a subtle bitterness that is close to resin-y. Nice!

Mf- The beer slides over the tongue, a little watery with a slight crispness.

O- The flavor and smell of this beer are extremely similar. It is so dank and fruity with a nice kiss of peach and grapefruit. Original flavor and delicious.
