A hint of clove, a touch of cinnamon...decide for yourself, but, nope, there aren't any gimmicks behind the flavor of this refreshing Wiezen. Just basic ingredients playin' their favorite tunes.

I found this in a bargain bin and it had no label. I did some research after determining it was a wheat beer, and had only the cap to go on. I believe I found the correct beer.
Pours a golden color with a fast disappearing white fluffy head, 2 fingers to start maybe.
Aromas of clove, wheat, banana, ash.
Flavor is refreshing and crisp, hints of wheat and clove; light peppery notes, faint hop on the finish.
Feel is crisp, clean, refreshing, all of the above.
Easy one to review. Pretty good beer without pushing the boundaries too much.

Nice spice aroma, sweet wheat taste and spices are tasty, body seems a tad thin, finishes nicely. This one I could have on a regular basis.

Pours a cloudy, maize color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Good retention and great retention.
Smells of clove, slight sweet malt, yeast, pale malt, hint of citrus, and wheat. Fits the style of a Hefeweizen. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of wheat, strong clove, slight sweet malt, pale malt, slight earthy malt, hint of hop, and slight yeast. Overall, good appearance, great feel, and good blend.

Draft at the source. Coralville, IA. Cloudy yellow body with a thin cap. Classic hefeweizen nose. Lots of banana. Moderate sweetness. Light body. Pretty good.

L: Good hefeweizen color (hazy gold) but looses it's head quickly. No lacing.
S: Smells like a hefeweizen - citrus notes over a fresh gingerbread scent.
T: Hard not to let the mouth-feel detract from the taste, but here it goes. On a full draw, the spirit of a hefe is there. It finishes a little flat - too close to the taste of stale beer.
F: Too much of a carbonated bite, not as smooth as I'd like
O: It'll do in a pinch. Not nearly as good as its German cousins, but there are worse imitations.
