Nobi has great food thats nicely complimented with a often great beer selection. There is always a beer on tap that Ive been meaning to try and they do a good job tapping rare or specialty beers.

The BIGGEST downside with this place is the service. Bartenders tend to ignore you when you first sit down. Once you order a beer they'll putz around before grabbing the glass and pouring it. And, when not seated at the bar, Ive often seen my beer sitting on the servers stand for the better side of 10min (I should just go grab it myself). Finally, i typically have to flag them down in order to ask for my check. WTF?!?

You'd think with such great food and craft beer selection they'd get their service in check.

I am getting annoyed by the continued poor service regardless of how busy or not this place is. I could be the only customer in the place and still be overlooked and straight up ignored by the staff. Snobbish bunch of know it all's who could care less if you wait 20 minutes for your check while they B.S. with each other. The food is excellent and the beer selection is great. The servers all pretty much suck though, unless you luck out and catch one of them on a good day. Sit at the bar for best results, but still be prepared to be ignored.

Nobi Public House is currently the best place in the Bay Area for craft and specialty beers. The selection of draft beers change constantly, so don't go there looking for your "usual". The idea is to experiment with new tastes. They have 40 available taps for draft beer and one cask engine. (Unfortunately, they don't always have a cask beer available.) They also have a good selection of bottles and cans. They do tend to cater to hop heads, but they always keep several selections for other tastes.

Their food selection is best described as atypical pub fair with a unique Vietnamese flair. Every dish I've tried has been delightful and I've yet to hear anyone complain. Well, that's not quite true. I did hear one person complain. They went there expecting to see Vietnamese/Asian food on the menu. It is, but the posted menu just uses terms like "sandwiches" instead of Bahn Mi.

The staff is excellent. They're always helpful and friendly and they take beer seriously. They sample each new beer for flavor so they can make suggestions for customers who may be overwhelmed by the selection.

The main drawbacks are its size and lack of parking. It doesn't take much of a crowd to be packed. There was a serious issue with noise for some time, but recently they installed noise baffling ceiling tiles that mitigated this problem greatly. Parking though will be an issue when its busy. The nail salon next door is very territorial staking out several slots right in front of the pub. At worst, parking is usually available at the other end of the strip. (Yes, it's in a funky old strip center.)

Basically, Nobi Public House is a Clean Well Lighted Place with excellent food and an even better selection of quickly rotating beers in stock.

It is nice to have a place so close to home to drink some fantastic beers. They have a nice bottle selection and around 20 different taps. The staff and customers are all generally pleasant. The prices are fair.

The food is not my favorite. The place is small and during busy hours it is impossible to find a seat. I wouldn't go there expecting 5 star service.

This place has only been open a few months... but the word is out... it is the best craft bar in the Clear Lake area.

The food is certainly above average and the prices are really good.. you have to get a sammich.... they are amazing.

The Pork Chop is great also.. especially after you add a fried egg or two on top.

Beer Selection... they have close to 40 taps... plus a cask and a nitro tap. What is great is how they rotate different beers through all the time. They do a great job of keeping things fresh on the wall.

They also use social media very well to keep fans up to date on what they have recently tapped.

I've stopped what I was doing a couple of times after seeing a beer hit the wall.. and drove right over to try it. Wish I lived a bit closer... I'm about twenty five minutes away... though my wallet would be hurting if I lived within five or ten minutes.

A really great place. I wish it was a bit bigger... but maybe they can expand in the future... I think they have what it takes to grow.

Thanks to StArnoldFan for inviting me down here to check this place out. I have been wanting to make a visit, but not a place I can just go on a whim. A little to far south for me. Anyway:

This is a great new place that has opened up for all the south side people in Houston that want a good beer, but understandably don't want to make the drive up to Hay Merchant or any other awesome beer spot in the city proper.

The area is very small. I can see this place getting jam packed. The L shaped bar seats maybe 12 people. They have used the space well, spreading the tables out as best they can. All the tables are wood, tree trunks cut for a table top. Two TV's, but very unintrusive. The service seems knowledgeable, though slow on the draw. I can't hold that against them considering the amount of people that were already there at about 4pm. When the servers had a chance, they came buy to ask how everything was and talk shop for a second before they were taken away by yet more costumers.

The beer selection is on par with any of the good beer spots in Houston. Maybe not as many taps as Hay Merchant or Saucer, but still a none to shabby 40 taps and a cask. Lots of locals, Saint Arnold, Karback or coarse. I know they did a Karback tap takeover a few weeks ago. Also Rogness, which I have hardly seen anywhere else in Houston. They have Ballast Point as well, which is the first place in Houston to pick that up. Their cask is in good order, when I visited 512 Cream Stout. They also do growler fills of most things.

The food is interesting. Asian fusion. I had a pork sandwich, that at first seemed liked they Subwayed the sandwich (just put everything they could on). Though after a bite, it all worked. Fresh crisp veggies, or awesome savory sauteed veggies. The meat is cooked perfectly. They also have some stuff like Tacos, Bahn Mi, spring rolls, etc. There are some pork fries, which is like Canadian Poutine, Asian style. Very nice. You also get an incredible bang for your buck. I had a cask, two Rogness beers and food. The tab was no more than $20.

Yep, this is a good place, be happy Webster and Clear Lake. You guys finally have a great beer bar.

This place is the newest thing in the clear lake area, I love it.

The atmosphere is always fun, cool pictures and decor. The only downside is that it can be a little loud, since theres not much to absorb sound.

Quality of the vietnamese food and beer selection is better than most in the area, if not all.

The service can be pretty slow at times but they are consistently improving though, theyve only been open for a bit so I expect it will be much better soon.

Excellent selection of beers, always a sour and nitro on tap and something for everyone on the tap list. Great rare stuff and theyre happy to share a taster of something if youre not sure.

The food is excellent! Vietnamese cuisine, the banh mi has been the highlight for me since its delicious and only $4.50. Thats my main hit for lunch if I have time to grab a sandwich and egg rolls. The rest of the food is always creative and filling, Ive enjoyed exploring the menu.

All together this place is awesome. It definitely makes it hard to justify driving all the way down town to hang out, drink some beer and then drive back. I listed the value as pricey because they have some rare beers that can run the tab up. Myself and others have noticed its easy to leave with a big tab, especially if youre there as a craft beer loving couple.
