Had this at The Mitten. I thought it was almost flat. Very little taste, too - slightly buttery. Newcastle is a much better brown.

On-tap at Fifth-third Ballpark. Served in a 32 oz, clear plastic cup (not optimum vessel, but what ya gonna do?)

A- The head was somewhat minimal to begin, though I attribute it mostly to the pour. What was there had good retention and even increased with a swirl. Good rings, especially for a plastic cup. Clean, dark brown body had moderate carbonation.

S- A bit muted at first. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, nuts, caramel. Pretty sweet. Hazelnut coffee picks up with warmth.

T- Chocolate and caramel. Almost like a roasted or candied nut flavor. On the sweet, malty side to be sure.

M- Viscous with moderate carbonation.

O- Definitely an easy drinker. Something I could session. Maybe a touch sweet, if anything.
