3/23/2024. Very dark, black, with a larger- than- usual -for -stout tan head; Lacy. Flavor is rich but mild. A little different; interesting.; mouthfeel- not much zing Not bad.

A pretty good blend of Dark Fruits resembling raisin and milk chocolate which is the base. Maybe get slight vanilla under all the hop bitterness but where is the cinnamon to balance? Kind of all over the place if they were going for a sweet desert stout this isn't it. It did however go down pretty smooth and was super affordable so I give it bonus points for that. Tasty

Look is a super opaque, dark beer. Luxurious head on initial point that leaves with a lot of lacing on the glass after settling.
Smell is cinnamon and raisin.
Taste is bitter on the front with an overarching boozy mouthfeel. Aftertaste is boozy as well with some raisin cinnamon cookie notes that linger on the aftertaste.
I drank an extra proof version at a bar that I loved, so bought this 6-pack when I saw it. This wasn't as good as that one, but still very tasty.

12 oz can, PKG 9/22/23
Pours dark and stout like, mid sized mocha can and whispy strands of lacing left on the glass.
Sniff of dark malts, raisins and milk chocolate.
More chocolate notes in the mouth, along again with those dark grains, raisins, with some chocolate malt balls notes in the finish.
Respectable, every day kinda imperial stout.

On tap at the British Open Pub. Pours coca Cola brown with very little head or lacing. It's an unusual dessert beer because the hops and roastiness temper it a good bit. Still, nice notes of cinnamon, sweetness, and a lactose smoothness.

At the cracking of the can I thought it may have refermented due to some fermentation smells but by the taste there clearly wasn't any such thing. It's a delightful imperial stout but not any kind of aroma bomb based on the advertised flavorings. It doesn't espouse any sort of heavy vanilla or cinnamon scents immediately but they are there when you look for them. The raisins are a little bit more elusive as a wild card, it's hard to tell if its the raisins that lead to the dark fruit character or the heavy roasted malts, though subsequent sipping makes me determine that it really is the raisins. The lactose is very much present though properly subdued through the boozy bitterness. It's a good stout but the advertising comes off like it will be adjunct focused which is secondary to the traditional stout quality itself

Part of the Guilty Pleasures pack picked up at TW-Greenville, SC 10-30-21 for $14.99. Packaged 8-24-21; drink by 8-24-22. Consumed 2-15-22.
Beer poured black with a really nice tan head that is leaving some lacing behind.
Nose is pretty mellow as i am not catching much fragrance from the adjuncts; just the mild roast used for the stout and a light touch of cinnamon.
Taste is a decent sized dark malt base infused nicely with a touch of raisins and cinnamon. Finishes with enough hops to balance things nicely.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall a really nice dessert beer.
