Had on tap at Sticks and Stones last night.Came to the table in a stemmed glass a clear copper color with a tight half finger head, sharp grapefruit rind and a little grassiness in the nose with a tinge of sweet alcohol. The sharp grapefruit comes thru bigtime on the palate as well with underlying grass and lightly sweet caramel malts, the grapefruit flavors are large and in charge. Not bad but it gets a little bitter by the end of a 12 oz. pour,it packs a hoppy punch.

Served at the brewpub in Asheville.

Pour was amber with excellent clarity and a good head.

Lots of hop aroma and flavor, with just mild bitterness. Addition of grapefruit zest seems to affect the aroma but has minimal affect on the flavor.
Exceptional fruity/hoppy aroma.

12 oz bottle poured into Willybecher glass bottled on 6/13

A: Dark amber caramel body with a little bit of haziness to it. Head was soapy and creamy looking slightly off whote. Laces the glass like crazy.

S: Very floral, and resinous, malty nose with slight orange hints.

T: Very resiny and fruity the orange is well integrated. This beer has a decent malty backbone with a lovely hop resin upfront and then light hints of citrus and orange.

M: Medium to heavier body drinks a little like a barleywine.

O: I have never been a huge fan of fruit flavored IPAs but this is very well integrated. Surprising bit of maltiness gives this beer great balance. I wouldn't seek this out, but if you ran across it you won't be disappointed.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a mildly murky dark amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is full of floral and pine notes. The taste is citrus and pine.
