Had on tap at WW both regular and on nitro and currently the best stout I have had. Great body and mouth feel, better so regular than on nitro which is typically the opposite for me. Great spice notes and well balanced...even better with the French toast they served with it.

Appearance: Dark, chocolate colored typical stout look.

Smell: Cinnamon, vanilla, light malt,

Taste: Soft cinnamon/vanilla notes with a touch of maple sweetness at the back. Slight bread/roasty undertones to round out the flavors. Crusty bread and chocolate fudge, up front, with the cinnamon sugar and maple tones building; finishes rather sweet with a wallop of vanilla

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Very reminiscent of the french toast being served, fairly sweet. Now if only it was just a little thicker or coffee was added, it would be a perfect 5 in my book.

Inky brown beer with a fluffy, light tan head that leaves lacing everywhere as it recedes. The aroma is heaven which apparently smells like coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and pale syrup. This tastes like a piece of french toast with maple syrup and a little chocolate sauce and a steaming cup of java. There is a perfect amount of smoky maple syrup and vanilla to remind me of French toast. I really love this beer as it hits so many flavors I love.

Pours black with a creamy tan foam head. Smells like maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate, dark fruits, roasty toasted bready malts, with floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Tastes like maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate, dark fruits, roasty toasted bready malts, with floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Feels medium bodied, creamy with moderate low carbonation. Overall a real nice french toast stout.

On-tap at The Publick House for the Wicked Weed launch party on Wednesday, February 3rd for EBF week. This one really stood out to me. A fantastic stout with the perfect amount of sweetness. The name is quite accurate, as you get the maple sweetness, brown sugar, some caramel. Super smooth and only gets better as it warms.

Looks like a usual stout.

Smell is great: tons of maple, cinnamon and coffee.

Flavor is all about the hints of maple. Not to sweet, though, with the dark chocolate and coffee drying things out.

A fantastic offering for a canned maple/cinnamon stout.

A - Looks like a stout. Pours with a head that dissipates fairly quickly.

S - Smells terrific. Lots of cinnamon, dark sugar, hint of vanilla. Like French toast.

T - tastes great too. Taste follows the nose, but sugars are a bit muted and vanilla comes out more.

M - A little thin and dry. Not up to pair with the taste and smell.

O - terrific stout that does indeed taste like French toast.

Quite a tasty yet boozy stout. You do taste the "French Toast" but I also got a lot of chocolate and coffee flavors as well. I noticed the maple and vanilla, but the cinnamon, not so much.

Had on tap. Pours opaque, dark brown in color, with 1/4 inch head. Taste is big vanilla, cinnamon, graham cracker, and cocoa. Sweet, medium-heavy bodied, and moderate carbonation. I get a big s'more taste from this one--moreso than French toast. That said as a dessert beer this one is fantastic. Love all the graham cracker taste in this one. I will be getting this again.

500 ml bottle dated 12/28/16.
Dark mahogany appearance with a thin head,which persists in a thin ring and floating islands.
Strong vanilla and cinnamon aroma perfectly consonant with the French Toast theme. Cinnamon and vanilla predominate on first sip, then some maple comes through. Medium mouth feel. Nice complement to a winter brunch or sandwiches. Very enjoyable.

Appearance - Pours black with thin tan head that dissipates very quickly

Aroma - Very light hints of vanilla, cinnamon and maple. Mild chocolate and roasted malts.

Taste - The taste is much better than the aroma it is the same but the flavors stand out. The vanilla and milk chocolate hit first the maple and cinnamon are on the back end but just as strong. The taste is very good.

Feel - Medium body sort of thin for an imperial stout, well carbonated and very smooth.

Overall - The aroma was very faint but the flavors really stood up great flavors and solid feel.

L - decadent label. *homer simpson* pours a robust chocolatey brown with the slightest of crimson hues. Double layered head: course meaty bubbles on the bottom, silky tan cream on top. Really cool how the two blend together and you have dark spots interspersed around the large bubbles.

S - vanilla, spice, and everything nice. Coffee and roasted malts. Some metal. Nutmeg and allspice.

T - creamy latte up front. Vanilla cream. I'd say this is coffee, but it's tipping the scales between coffee with "cream & sugar" and "cream & sugar with coffee". Milk chocolate and a teensy touch of maple. It's there, but not exactly a key player. A bit of black coffee smoke on the finish intertwined with cinammon. The cinammon only came out after the beer warmed.

F - smooth, creamy, and silky, but a little thin. Goes down too easy.

O - tasty and decadent, but not as robust as I hoped. The advertised flavors are there, but it feels like they were added in; the beer was not built around them.

The beer pours a nice brown head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself is a dark chocolate black with a nice texture to it. It's a good look that was done well but doesn't really make you go wow!

The smell is good. It has a nice cream note mixed very well with a subtle cinnamon spice and maple syrup that give a nice sweetness to it. There is also a cocoa powder note.

The taste is good. It has a nice vanilla cream note with bits of powdered coco with a very light cinnamon running through it all. The beer has a nice maple syrup note that gets stronger as the beer warms but gets a little lost in the other notes. Still, the various create a very good and interesting tasting beer that really does resemble french toast. Also, a very light sweet dark chocolate note.

The feel is good. It has a nice medium body that feels a bit thin but not bad. It has a nice tingling carbonation to it.

Overall, this is a pretty decent stout worth getting. It's a nice variant of a regular stout and worthy of pairing with breakfast as well.

Pours that familiar stout black in which no light can break through into my snifter, very little lacing, creamy quick dissipating head. Smells sweet, and at first I thought I smelled some cherry, but after a second sniff I discovered that was the strong vanilla scent. Hints of cinnamon, but a strong aroma of milk chocolate. Very little booze to the nose. Taste delivers even more than the smell, a more vigorous scent of cinnamon can now be found along with caramel. The maple syrup taste is blended alongside the vanilla, cocoa, milk/milk chocolate taste with mellow carbonation and smoothness, not boozy. Medium body texture. Fantastic evening brew, I'll take a growler full please!

8.4% ABV. per growler label.Pours a dark chocolate brown with some deep brownish hue,a thinner beige head atop.Cinnamon toast really stands out in the nose along some vanilla,yeah it really does smell like French toast.Warming cinnamon spice and syrup flavors with a tinge toast,vanilla takes over into the finish and lingers.Wow this is pretty cool,although it gets a bit sweet after awhile the flavors are great.Great concept and a great beer.

Dark brown to black in color, opaque, and minimal head.

Smell is coffee, vanilla, malt, and some cinnamon.

Taste is sweet malt up front followed by vanilla and spice. Finish is coffee.

Mouthful is medium and thin. Carbonation is light to medium. Finish lingers.

Looks good, smells good, tastes good, feels weak (for a double imperial stout). I like this beer. It is easily drinkable and the flavors are spot on. The biggest letdown is the mouthful which is more like a porter than a Stout.

I really enjoyed this one. It wasn't very balanced as I mainly got roasted malts in the flavor. The nose was really nice. Lots of caramel and vanilla with a touch a maple. Most of those flavored didn't come through very well in the drink since the roasted malt overpowered.

Poured from the bottle into a Wicked Weed goblet glass. Bottled December 28th 2016.

Dark walnut blackened red body color. Half finger of tan head that settles to a nice thick and bubbly tall collar. Good coating of lacing and webbing as well, very nice looking stout.

Nice aroma, but not as diverse as the ingredient list seems to hint at. Vanilla and creamy roast body mostly, touches of an almost hazelnut quality to it. Spice and maple not really so much. Decent and solid stout aroma but with a nose that's more centered on creamy roast character than anything.

Palate gets the job done. Light yest solid rich body with a crispy waffery flavor. Chocolate and vanilla in the mid palate wash on a nice dark cocoa body, that just barely touches coffee character. Large amounts of soft cinnamon on this and almost with a good amount of heat from powdery brown warmth of spices. Good controlled spice on the finish that gets into touches of leafy herbs, mint and sugar. Crispy to its namesake as well, with a bit of husky and crackling grain too.

Very well named and tasty brew. Sweetness isn't too out of control on this either, very nicely put together.

A: Deep, dark brown, could pass for jet black at first glance - pours with a medium sized, creamy, light brown head, fades to a wispy cap, leaves some spots and streaks of lacing

S: Solid imperial stout base with some roasty chocolate malts, lightly burnt aromas, dark chocolate - semisweet chocolate, cocoa, some milk chocolate - roasty, hints of coffee - vanilla aroma seems more prominent, followed by equal parts cinnamon and sweet maple - some caramel as well

T: Decidedly reminiscent of French toast, perhaps more like eating French toast while drinking coffee - range of chocolate, dark chocolate, semisweet chocolate, cocoa - chocolate malts, roasty, hints of roasty coffee - cinnamon is more obvious in the flavor than the aroma, adds an underlying spice that works well - some vanilla and some additional sweetness from the maple - dark caramel and some bread

M: Medium body, medium carbonation, very smooth, borderline crushable

O: Let's get some f----in' French toast!

It's easy to write this off overly gimmicky, but it's actually solid enough to warrant genuine respect. The imperial stout base is nice, and the cinnamon and vanilla flavors are nice, and I suppose not everyone uses as much maple syrup as I do on French Toast.

On tap:
Beer looks wonderful - dark brown near black with a nice tan head. Halfway down the glass it's still there I both thin coverage and almost uniform splotchy lace.

Nose isn't grabbing me, even with my nose in the snifter. I'm getting a little spice and syrup over a stout base.

Taste is roasted malt, coffee more than chocolate to open. A syrup flavor comes on, and brings some sweetness, but not enough to destroy the stout. The end seems to make be bring a little cinnamon or similar, bringing back the stout feel.

A nice tasting beer where the inspiration food is alluded to more than overrun, and that's ok with me.

Pours a deep brown body, in the glass it's opaque and black with a light brown head that reduces fairly quickly leaving spotty lacing and light retention.

Aromas of milk chocolate, coffee, definitely getting cinnamon and spices there too. On the tongue is the same, light chocolate, coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, no maple though. Mouthfeel is on the thin side with medium low carbonation.

Decent, glad the spices came through but wish there was more maple.

Aroma is roast malt and vanilla dominant. Cinnamon emerges late.

Flavor is maple syrup sweetness throughout, with roasty, lightly bitter undertones. Cinnamon dominates, here, with a hint of vanilla in the finish. Damn drinkable at the high abv.

Had this on 2015-01-10 at the brewery.

Aroma is french toast and mapke syrup. Taste is similar but wirh more char. Not a ton of maple but pleasantly present. Rich thick feel.

Pours thinly, and is black in color with a very small, thin light brown head.

Smell - Coffee, brown sugar, dark malt... pretty mild smell overall.

Taste - Delicious! Mildly sweet bread with cinnamon, vanilla, slight maple syrup... It's like breakfast in a can.

Feel - Thin, but low in carbonation so it goes down nicely.

Overall - Nice alternative to a RIS, sweetness makes it a great after dinner treat.
